Long story short, people theorized that scraptrap was another springlock suit that was made for a different location, and that user got springlocked and died.
After the Fnaf 3 fire, Springtrap was badly damaged so he went to that location, and replaced his suit with the scraptrap ones by removing enough pieces of the old corpse from it until he could enter it.
