Honestly, I like to believe Sal and Neville get along very well, those two aren't a part of a specific crew, they're just racers that happen to have joined your crew, sure it was through Nikki, but still.

Sal was my favourite right along Neville, I really just found them both charming but preferred blockers early on so I used a bit more Neville often.
One of my oldest memories about NFS Carbon was when the game glitched out while I was playing with my friend as we went into a race with Sal, in which his rubberband bugged out and he flew past everyone in an excessive amount of speed, as really young Carbon fans who experienced that for the first time we were both quite shocked.

I only completed Carbon once and I was using exotic cars and Neville for the whole playthrough. Next playthrough I planned to do tuner cars and after watching this video I guess I'll start using Sal as soon as possible.
When he first came I tested him out and I never changed him. He has one of the best rubberbands but the thing is he keeps brakechecking you in corners. He compensates by winning races for you. Truly a GIGACHAD

I have only ever used Sal, even during my childhood playthroughs, man is simply the best crew member
Honestly the scout types are the best in the game. Because their job is to lead you to shortcuts, they are mostly ahead which means they usually win all the races by themselves if you didn't. And they sometimes perform the blocker move on opponents though it can also backfire on you. It's a good gamble since blockers are redundant and drafters are pretty much useless when you or your scout can win any race.
I always used Sal and Yumi, they were too good!

Not only does he have the technical prowess to let you alter your car in outrageous ways or have debatably the prettiest custom paint, but the man knows his way around roads and has the quiet swagger that nobody notices until you see it for yourself.
Also his paint scheme is black and grey, just like Gigachad.

When I was younger, I thought Sal's "light trail" is some type of special nitrous that could make the car go really fast. Color me disappointed when I installed the exact same nitrous part on my RX8 and there were no light trails (and no super speed either)
Same ! I thought that trail was an exclusive nitrous for Scouts which is why it made them drives so fast back when i am a kid.
Bro i fell you. I even called my dad and asked why does Sal have this sick looking trails while i have this lame ass fire poopin'.
I got even more pissed of, when i installed an autosculpt rear bumper and with it even fire effects of nitrous disappeared.
I like carbon composed music. It's so good and more games should have more of these kind of music that change its pace/style depending on what you have equipped or position

when i did a drift only challenge using extra options in a stock rx-8 (that was reskinned as an 86) sal was the biggest thorn in my side, so I ended up just doing the game solo. darius gangsta til the jalopy 86 passes him on the 3rd turn.
sal hits the brakes on the inside of the turn almost as much as Challenger Angie, making it hard to steal the inside for a pass. only difference is you only have to dead with Challenger Angie for 3 races whereas Sal you can give the boot whenever
This reminded me why I never use drafters. They seem to get in the way more than they help. I always use blockers because they tend to hang out behind you and keep the other AI out of your way.
