Surprising that Paul hasnt heard of the Fermi paradox when he is such a sci-fi fan. Would be great to hear them discuss it on the pod, along with the many suggested explanations for the paradox, the zoo hypothesis and the dark forest and what not.
I was surprised to hear Paul say “God Bless” at the end of the podcast. He is reputed to be an agnostic if not an atheist. I was just curious, did Paul have a change of heart. Personally, I hope not!
The more secure one is in one’s own beliefs or non-beliefs, the less necessary it is to have others believe as oneself does. I do envy those who have a belief one way or the other, and wonder where they get that perfect information, be they atheist or believers in God, those two seem like two sides of the same religious coin. I am more agnostic, with a lean to believing in something, but unable to be certain about either side….me just saying all this here shows you how insecure I am in this belief. I once heard a phrase: “ I don’t know, and you don’t know either.” which appealed to me at the time… how do people get their certainty one way or the other? I would love to be able to feel that, to KNOW.
there are to many links and services but I wish there was Any kind of video for all your episodes here or Spotify I think I speak for a great amount of us Podcast consumers and your fans ... I would Absolutely digest all Videos from your podcast Just a suggestion I see videos everywhere spread but not a consistent service
I love Paul's fun and open minded takes on these subjects, but we really don't need the "skeptic" aspect to these conversations, we don't need to waste time listening to people tell us we haven't seen what we saw because they haven't ever experienced anything out of the ordinary for themselves....
Paul did you know that “Big Foot” has more than 26 names around the world! In Australia Big Foot is known as a ‘Yowie’ I live in Yowie country in Southeast Queensland Australia . 😊 the following is from Wikipedia -‘Yowie is one of several names for an Australian folklore entity that is reputed to live in the Outback. The creature has its roots in Aboriginal oral history. In parts of Queensland, they are known as quinkin (or as a type of quinkin), and as joogabinna,[1] in parts of New South Wales they are called Ghindaring, jurrawarra, myngawin, puttikan, doolaga, gulaga and thoolagal.[1] Other names include yahweh, noocoonah, wawee, pangkarlangu, jimbra and tjangara.[1][2][3] Yowie-type creatures are common in Aboriginal Australian legends, particularly in the eastern Australian states. ‘
So great! Thanks for this

Very cool!
Is it true that 45% of Queensland remains unexplored, so thick is the jungle?
@@rumpstatefiasco well I would not think 45% but there are large areas of dense Rain Forrest also of
Sorry lost reception a- I would say Queensland has much larger areas of sparsely populated land in the outback.
@@katedohle Thanks!
