  • Emirates has some of the best products of all airlines worldwide. But there's also quite a few planes flying around that have economy class cabins that are not as up to date as their advertisements might suggest. What is Emirates Economy Class like when you don't get to fly on Emirates' newest Airbus A380 but on one of their oldest Boeing B777? They might have a game-changer business class on board while Economy Class looks really outdated....
On our Emirates flight from Mumbai to Dubai we'll check out the economy-class product, economy-class meal service and entertainment, and we talk about Emirates Skywards and where you can use miles after the insane devaluation of Skywards in 2023.
    Enjoy watching!

I remember this economy class from my first flight on Emirates in 2009. My first time flying overseas and Emirates set the standard for what I thought flying was. I didn't know much about airlines back then so after flying in this as my first wide body experience, I assumed all airlines are like this. Of course I had a rude awakening when I flew Lufthansa A380 years later. The feeling of downgrade I got in Lufthansa was like moving from Rolls Royce to Mahindra. Emirates really pampered economy passengers back in the day. I also noticed flying between Johannesburg and Dubai they collect everything before landing (blankets, pillows, headphones). But between Dubai and Zurich nothing of that sort happened.

Hi! Yes, Emirates really set the standards very high. And as you said, going from their A380 to one of Lufthansa (or Air France) was really a bitter change.....
However, I think they always collected the blankets and headsets in Economy, to Jo'burg as well as to European countries...

I used Emirates going to Dubai and Pakistan. Terrible food. My carried bag which I check in was broken into and my toiletries stolen. I write many letters and letter of claim to Emirates. But they only offered to settle £94 after I logged a claim at court. I produced my Boots receipt as proof. No compensation was offered for stress or inconvenience. I accepted £94 to avoid a Trial.

Since it is well know that Indian routes ended up with more destruction of the aircraft, they usually sent the worst crew and aircrafts to serve those routes. This is my directives and necessary cost cutting measures that specifically targeting the Indian customers. It happens to be the most difficult route to serve for reasons that only Air India could tell you. It is by far to be the worst routes for many and many will try to bid away from it since how Indian treat service workers stemming from Caste System so customers at all classes behave like Kings and Queens and you are treated no better than a toilet cleaners.

I was tempted to say the same, and everyman says that the old planes only go to India and African countries. But then I did my research, and the same aircraft also flew to Rio, Washington, New York and Seattle......
I know what you mean, and it's really sad when this cultural thing still shows in 2024.However, there's also lots of Indians, especially in the younger generation, that change and don't believe in absolute caste culture anymore....

Emirates uses old 777 with old equipment. The screen is antique. Their business class on their 777 is the worst in the world. They have 2 three 2 in a row on their 777. Imagine you get the middle seat while paying premium. Their A380 is fantastic. Avoid at all cost to board a 777 plane.

I know. I've been on all versions, in all classes...... There was the 2-2-2 "game-changer" business class on this B777 which I actually show in the video (have you already watched it in full?) - but as I say in the report: that's also not great..... However, not the worst in the world. I don't know where you normally fly - outside Asia there lots of airlines that are much much worse than the worst Emirates version, in all classes...

@@TravelSingFlyEnglishEditionthe only 2-2-2 business class configuration worth having is the Oman Air one. Anyhrubg else is just obvious cost cutting.

How rude to speak at such a volume within the cabin. Other people do not want to hear you!

    • @TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition
      @TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition  2 месяца назад

I'm sorry but rude is for sure the last thing people will associate with my person. I'm known for speaking sometimes too soft or actually not doing a flight report at all if I disturb anybody. You seem to not know much about microphones. Also, I have a trained voice that I can make sound full in a microphone and yet at the same time almost inaudible in the next seat.

Emirates overrated review do not believe what you read good things about this airline, dirty bathroom smelly, flight crew not friendly in the sky, hallway of the airline dirty crew never pick up or clean or don’t care to pick up what ever in the carpet they just stepped in, about this airline in any cause if you dont want to mess up you vacation. Way to go emirates change you bad service and your crew need to send for reorientation to treat your customers better.

What you're saying is very subjective. Unless you've flown Emirates countless times and keep having the exact same bad experience, this writeup is discredited. I've I've flown with Emirates 8 times and on all occasions the in flight service and crew was outstanding. On all flights they give kids toys and take pictures. Food was very good and toilets were always clean.

I must say I agree with Sitha. Now I've been flying Emirates way over 100 times - and it was very rarely dirty in the bathrooms. It can happen after a10-hour flight. But usually they clean very regularly. To a few regions it's a bit easier to keep the plane clean die to cultural reasons, but that hasn't anything to do with the airline.
I'm not very fond of Emirates in the past, but I always try to be honest and fair, in every report.

@@monicab5347 that's not an opinion and not based on experience, sorry. There's already enough negativity on the web. I am open to criticism - very much. It's the only way to improve. But only if it's based on facts.
