- An effective way to draw a lake boat using the figure eight as a simple technique

Very helpful, but initial part was too light and very difficult to see.
This was very helpful, I like reflections are wet shadows are dry tip.... Very Good. And the man technique helped

Actually works really well, draw the figure of eight, pause video when clearer and then it's intuitive from that point.

thank you sir this is very good and very helpful. now i will have this to canvas.
i am struggling with a practice lakeshore scene that has two boats lying on the lakeside. thhe top one is upside down lying on top of the one underneath of it. the bottom one is sitting on the grass upside down as well. i cant get my porportions correct and i am using pastels so i have a little mess I have to start over with;thankfully i am using a sanded pastel paper I can wash it off with alsochol and dry and start over again. im going to try this technique and see if i can fix my mess
Turn your drawing upside down for the upside down boats.

Can you make the drawings darker. I can hear you but can't see the light drawing. Help!
Pencil marks too light. Can't see. Couldn't you tell it was too light??? No help at all. Shame, because from the narration it sounded very good, too bad no one can actually SEE the lines.

you've drawn in pencil, the camera flash killed all of it. should have used charcoal or ink. Sigh, really wanted to watch this.

Great instruction and shot of first boat but cameraman should be fired. didn’t zoom in on your drawing or painting so we only saw from afar - zoom was of your applying paint and your pallet and water cup.
