My parents couldn't teach me to how to develop myself because they skipped over the self development phase themselves. They are the reason why I'm so underdeveloped as an adult.

It's actually just the biological urge to have sex that leads people to have kids. And, if there’s any thought beyond just the pleasure of sex, i'd say many people are just very misguided when it comes to having children with any degree of intention. They want a mini me, a friend cuz they loney, or something to do cuz they bored with they lives, etc. The list of wrong reasons goes on forever. Just keepin it 💯.

Great points made but I must emphasis, there's nothing absolutely wrong with healthy romance, community, meaningful connections etc. The key word being *healthy*. No enmeshment, co-dependancy, manipulation, control etc. Both/all parties are on the part of self-actualising and so not need other people to complete or validate them. Ofc, external validation is good but it mustn't become a need. Finding ppl with these types of understanding and value set is what's hard. The tragedy is toxic attachment styles has become a norm - something that's encouraged and expected.

One of the things I hate my parents the most is that they are somehow always right.
Like one time they have obviously done something wrong, then they'd just make a 180 and say "but u (aka I) have done this and that, so ur (I am) wrong"

First, there are other reasons why people have children that you haven't mentioned. You cannot think of those reasons because you already have decided that having children isn't for you. And being a real parent is ANYTHING but selfish. Being a real parent takes a lot of sacrifice. And as far as your ability to discuss anything about parenting, just stop. You don't have the experience. You would have a better response from people if you really knew at all the experience of being a parent. You're talking about something you really don't know anything about.
The DECISION to want to bring more people into the world is based on our own ego an selfishness to want things wihich is fine. Once the child is born, then yes parents must devote the next min 18 years of unselfishness, and yet not every parent is a decent parent right? And when those kids have terrible parents, who’s to blame? The selfish person who brought them into this world. Obvi their exceptions like people who were raped and decided to keep the child, but for the most part…well you know.
Just provide the selfless reason to procreate. That's all u have to do to shut Tera down!
