Yes Eris is still advanced rank in sword god style. Orsted's a beast, I had chills! 7:52 Remember Rudy said he can look further but when it's more than 2 seconds, multiple possible future movements pop up and it confuses him. Rudy had it at just 1 second but there were still multiple images which says how powerful and fast Orsted is.
I remember a similar thing happened when Rudeus had a little bout with Ruijerd, but it was nowhere near the extent that it was when he fought Orsted! I completely agree man, Orsted is a straight beast. I wonder if Rudeus will ever be proficient enough in his use of his eye and magic to stand even the slightest chance...
Eris might be stronger than Advanced Rank, but she doesnt have anyone to teach her Sacred+ technics. Just like Rudy might be way past Sacred level, but doesn't know any King+ tier Spell. In terms of real fighting exp, and overhall fight capabilities, they are both way stronger than before the mana disaster.
@@_Azurael_ It is funny the way ranks work in Mushoku Tensei, where you can put an advanced fire spell on hyper-steroids but that doesn't make it Sacred or King, still advanced. That doesn't change the fact that in the Light Novel when taking that attack Orsted remarked that if he hadn't absorbed it, it probably would have instantly vaporized and killed everyone in a considerable area, excluding himself obviously.

When reading the novel, Orsted 's arrival and conversation didnt felt nearly as tense because i had no idea were it was going, thats why they added the opening scene, to keep the audience on edge It totally worked

Just to point out a fact, at the time that rudeus was making the fireball, he had completely forgotten about Eris and rijurd. He was picturing making a nuke when trying to firm the attack. What you see in the fire color transition is it rising quickly in temperature from regular, to blue, to finally purple, rudeus essentially made plasma to shoot at him.
Thanks for pointing that out man! One of the other commenters posted an excerpt from the LN where Orsted stated that if he didn't absorb the attack it literally wouldve vaporized everyone in a huge radius (apart from Orsted of course haha)
I did also catch something after watching the scene for like 30 times. They say Rudi can move cause hes reincarnated... And now the one thing i never noticed is the fact that Nanahoshi too can move. You dont think about it, but the curse isnt like "everyone fears you apart your allies" so he, just as Ruijerd, shouldnt be able to befriend or team up with somebody. Apart people resisting his curse. And the only way to resist seems reincarnation. This may be wrong and maybe theres some ability introduced that can resist it too, but from what we know so far there is none (introduced yet).

I've read the LN, and read this part in the manga. let me tell you I was just as hyped and on the edge of my seat as I was the first time! Incredible animation, music, and voice acting. The dynamic of the series changes so much, and that was only turning point 2, just wait for the other 3 😁
Even though I haven't been exposed to any of the other material, it makes me happy when I hear people that *have* been say that this scene was done justice and more! And to hear that there are 3 more turning points just makes me even more hyped 😂 Here's hoping all of that is animated in the future!

The Man-God is obviously fully aware of Orsted's incredible power, and there's obviously some really bad blood between them, so now I'm thinking that he's been guiding reincarnated beings (who I'm assuming all have the potential to become insanely powerful) in order to kill Orsted or something. I'm so glad now that Rudy trained his voiceless magic when he was a toddler AND built up his mana pool because otherwise he wouldn't have stood a chance against a beast like Orsted. Orsted went for the lungs every time, lungs being the one thing that allows mages to cast spells. However, Orsted didn't know that Rudy could do voiceless magic (apart from Healing spells, which he needs his voice for since its a harder spell type). Completely agree, incantationless magic definitely helped Rudy put up much more of a fight here. I actually didn't make the connection that Orsted was purposefully going for the lungs but that makes so much sense now! If we're talking about lungs - how about Rudy filling his lungs with air 🔥 I loved the practical application of wind magic there. 💯! The way Rudeus' fear was conveyed with him clutching his torso and face. He was so taken aback by seeing the multiple futures of his demise that it looked like the line between future and present were being blurred to him! He definitely was. I still think the fact that he was able to do ANYTHING (e.g block the strike meant for Rudy) against Orsted was super impressive. He'll always be one of my favorite characters. I don't read them either! I honestly have no idea. I agree that Orsted doesn't seem truly evil, but I think he's way more badass as a villain. I want him to stay a villain to be honest haha

This episode doesn’t need to make up for anything. A great story made with care. We dont need a climax per episode. We are all grown ups here and we understand that without a well built world and lore, even the fight with orsted would feel mid. If there was 1 fight like this every episode it would feel cheap and silly. So this ep doesn’t need to make up for any other episode. If anything, it was all the other episodes that made this one amazing
It was just my opinion and I respect yours 💪 I'm not looking for a fight every episode - I loved every episode of part 1 - one of my favorites being the one with Rudeus and Eris dancing at his 10th birthday. Some of the episodes in this part just didn't feel AS entertaining (though I still enjoyed them). For example - while I appreciated the background given in Roxy's episode, it went by too slowly for my liking and for that reason I didn't like it as much. Thanks for taking the time to watch man! 💪

@@OnePunchSiana Ruijerd is very strong (he's at about north emperor level in strenght) but he has no chance against any of the 7, plus there are many strong individuals that are not included in the list like water god (the leader of the water god style), Ogre God etc. For refference the lower of the 7 (5-7) The Death God is prolly the weakest since he's between emperor and god rank in strenght but he uses mind tircks. The Sword God is the highest rank in the sword god style (focusses on speed and aggresion) and the 2nd highest rank in the water god style (defense and countering)- he's a water emperor. The North God is crazy strong and fast on his own but he also has some broken hacks (he wields the strongest sword in the world) - reply if you want to know what it does cuz it's not a major spoiler, it's revealed right away, plus he won't make an apearaance until season 4.

Throwing your sword is just a low level technique if you're cornered so he won't be using that. The North God is prolly the strongest of the lower 7 as he can casually react to light speed attacks WHILE having a mental breackdown. Regarding his hacks, he's a human/demon hybrid (not a common demon, but an immortal one, preety much very high regeneration, he's long lived and has a high mana pool) , and his weapon is the dragon king sword, it manipulates gravity.
Rudy ignored every social cue and kept talkin. Where I grew up I learned that people that talk too much get into trouble. Rudy imo had it coming, always talkin too much and never thinking where it might get him. I get that he thinks he’s smarter and all cuz he’s from Earth where things are more modern, but bruh come on Rudy. Being smart is one thing being socially aware is another. Just my thoughts from this episode. Made me think of a few people I know irl who talk too much, lack social awareness, but smart af.
Haha I completely agree with you about Rudy completely missing the social cues - and the comment about your neighbourhood I can definitely relate to as well. In situations like these, I always think back to the fact that he was a complete shut-in with no social life for the majority of his 34 years (prior to being reincarnated). It would make sense that during this time he'd develop some deep-rooted mental and social issues that would eventually lead to trouble as they did here. @@sharkmanro Whether or not Orsted is infinitely more powerful/holding back - I feel like the anime definitely conveyed a bit of Rujierd's battle ability here - especially when compared to Eris' attempt on Orsted
This episode doesn’t need to make up for anything. A great story made with care. We dont need a climax per episode. We are all grown ups here and we understand that without a well built world and lore, even the fight with orsted would feel mid. If there was 1 fight like this every episode it would feel cheap and silly. So this ep doesn’t need to make up for any other episode. If anything, it was all the other episodes that made this one amazing
It was just my opinion and I respect yours 💪 I'm not looking for a fight every episode - I loved every episode of part 1 - one of my favorites being the one with Rudeus and Eris dancing at his 10th birthday. Some of the episodes in this part just didn't feel AS entertaining (though I still enjoyed them). For example - while I appreciated the background given in Roxy's episode, it went by too slowly for my liking and for that reason I didn't like it as much. Thanks for taking the time to watch man! 💪

@@philipbenhardb.velasco369 I don’t think they ever mentioned what her rank is at this point in the story, but she’s definitely Saint by the time she starts training to reach King(which hasn’t happened yet), that’s for sure. But yeah, she’s probably Saint right now.
@@Hawkcam1996 to be considered a sword saint one must learn the longsword of light (thr move Ghyslaine did on the kidnappers in ep 5) so she ain't a saint yet, she would be close to one in strenght at this point, but not an official saint herself.

There are 7 levels of ranks: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Saint, King, Imperial and Divine/God.
Ghislaine is a " Sword *King* " and Orsted is the Dragon *God* ...soooo Ghislaine is not even close!

No seriously great reaction but in order to gain the title of sword saint one must be able to execute the longsword of light (the move Ghyslaine used to speed blitz the kidnappers in ep 5). Also the current state (only mentioning names mentioned so far in the anime) of the 7 great powers

2nd Dragon God Orsted
3rd Fighting God- missing
4th Demon God Laplace- sealed
5th Death God- currently a knight in the Dragon King Kingdom

Crazy to think that there are so many more powerful figures that haven't even been introduced yet. Do you think Ruijerd could take any of the Seven that are below Laplace? I know he got clapped here but considering how incredibly powerful Orsted is I still have a high opinion of Ruijerd
@@OnePunchSiana Ruijerd is very strong (he's at about north emperor level in strenght) but he has no chance against any of the 7, plus there are many strong individuals that are not included in the list like water god (the leader of the water god style), Ogre God etc.
For refference the lower of the 7 (5-7)
The Death God is prolly the weakest since he's between emperor and god rank in strenght but he uses mind tircks.
The Sword God is the highest rank in the sword god style (focusses on speed and aggresion) and the 2nd highest rank in the water god style (defense and countering)- he's a water emperor.
The North God is crazy strong and fast on his own but he also has some broken hacks (he wields the strongest sword in the world) - reply if you want to know what it does cuz it's not a major spoiler, it's revealed right away, plus he won't make an apearaance until season 4.

I'm really interested in Gal Farion the Sword God... I feel like he'd be insanely strong just being Sword God alone but he's even Emperor ranked in Water God style? That takes it to a whole nother level considering that he'd have extremely strong countering and defense to add to his skillset. And North God has throwing techniques right (if i remember correctly...)? What would happen if the North God threw the strongest sword at Orsted I wonder 🤔😂
@@OnePunchSiana the North god style is basically *anything goes* playing dirty, using mind tricks and using anything to win( using the enviorment, we also saw Paul running on all fours Imao). Throwing your sword is just a low level technique if you're cornered so he won't be using that. The North God is prolly the strongest of the lower 7 as he can casually react to light speed attacks WHILE having a mental breackdown.
Regarding his hacks, he's a human/demon hybrid (not a common demon, but an immortal one, preety much very high regeneration, he's long lived and has a high mana pool) , and his weapon is the dragon king sword, it manipulates gravity.
@@OnePunchSiana we could see Gal Farion make an apearance in episode 23 (maybe not) as he's been hinted at in Ghyslaine's backstory.
Rudy ignored every social cue and kept talkin. Where I grew up I learned that people that talk too much get into trouble. Rudy imo had it coming, always talkin too much and never thinking where it might get him. I get that he thinks he’s smarter and all cuz he’s from Earth where things are more modern, but bruh come on Rudy. Being smart is one thing being socially aware is another. Just my thoughts from this episode. Made me think of a few people I know irl who talk too much, lack social awareness, but smart af.
Haha I completely agree with you about Rudy completely missing the social cues - and the comment about your neighbourhood I can definitely relate to as well. In situations like these, I always think back to the fact that he was a complete shut-in with no social life for the majority of his 34 years (prior to being reincarnated). It would make sense that during this time he'd develop some deep-rooted mental and social issues that would eventually lead to trouble as they did here. That's all very well, but Rudy has a successful experience of saving Ruijerd. That's because he's a different world and he's not cursed. He may have been killed by Ruijerd. So I don't think Rudy was all wrong.
