    They should *_ALSO_* include how rude she was to regular people who approached Her by stating that; _”She doesn’t talk to regular people.”_

    So I am going to have a difference of opinion. This woman was not a nice person. She told Corey Feldman “you’re taking down an entire industry” when he was coming out about the child abuse he endured in Hollywood.

    Let's not forget Walters was also Roy Cohn's beard over several decades. She had some pretty questionable values.

    • @FirstHillSeattle
      @FirstHillSeattle 7 месяцев назад +6

      She really did have questionable values. There was no one worse than Roy Cohn. I always found her to be dismissive and downright rude in her celebrity interviews. She was undoubtedly a trailblazer, but that doesn't mean she wasn't without some pretty big faults.

      Harry Reasoner was a hard-boiled Lou Grant kind of guy, a newsman. He felt demeaned and marginalized that Barbara, not really a newsperson, was brought in to bolster ratings, and worse still, at a higher salary. Barbara resented all the alleged sexism, so what does she do? Float the idea, but deny, that she was having an affair with Fidel Castro.

    Barbara Walters is a relentless journalist that's for sure. It did nothing for her personal appeal, imo. (Britney Spears interview anyone?)
