I loved the explanation of design elements based on an Eagle in flight. It reminds me of the discussion regarding the Diavel profile inspired by a sprinter poised in the blocks. Once you see these design influences, you appreciate the overall beauty of the bikes even more. It is something unique to Ducati and emphasizes the importance of art and beauty in Italian design.

Yeah but all top level of motorbike championship is win by Yamaha this year. At the moment, Yamaha R series and its M1 prototype is the best race bike in the world.
It's more practical do to replace the flywheel with an electric motor, like the kinetic energy recovery system (kers) in the last generation of formula one cars
@@shravanav993 I still wouldn't drive the front wheel though is the problem... Having the front wheel drive would help prevent the wheelie affect and accelerate harder at the same time
@@hollowreflex9634 it won't devin, up until like 200 km/h bike has plenty of power. Giving more won't make it accelerate faster because the front wheel is not in contact with the ground up until that speed approx.
Ducati should develop this bike to be easier to ride on public roads, not just on tracks, add a fuel level gauge for example and do something more about the heat of the bike…
@@cen121 i understood the guy zan wanted something designed more for the road. I think those issues you are mentioning are really minimal stuff. My bike has no fuel gauge either and it's fine
I agree, I’m not a dedicated track junkie but was sitting on the V2 & V4 Pani when I was looking for my next Duc & they’re just too damn aggressive, the SFS isn’t much better, I understand its sole purpose is meant to be on the track & you can just get the Supersport but then you feel you’re just compromising & where’s the fun in that. I’ve owned plenty of super sport bikes & haven’t ridden one in a while just because of their bad ergo’s & overall functionality for longer trips.
New design, new aero, new tank for better grip and ergonomy, swingarm pivot 4 mm higher, 5 mm extra stroke on front suspension, longer 1st, 2nd and 6th gear, 1.5 extra hp, i don't remember anything else at the moment
That big black Ducati decal is horrible and ruins the sleek, elegant look of the bike. Did you get consultants from bmw or what? Thank god I bought mine before this one. All the other upgrades are nice but on the look department you managed to take at least 2 steps back.
I understand the wings on the track but on public roads where 90% of users will be most of the time seems to me a bit too much and close to the ridiculous.....
There are A LOT of reasons and stuff to think about apart from sound. Dimensions in the 3 axis, engine balance and ignition timing, fitting with a specific frame with specific bikes geometries, just to name a few. Designing a new engine is not as easy as preparing a cake.
No lower fairing aero WHACK How does this pitch go again? Tell us how you made tiny improvements to the engine then leave out there racing aero Call me when you need a REAL MARKETING GURU.
Very disappointing no real upgrades were made to the bike. No seamless transmission no power upgrade, nothing! Different trans gears and some fairings.Boo We want more power! A 1299 v4 would hit the spot for me!
