Good stuff Sam! Improving editing is my next goal with my channel as I slow down with video releases and try to maximize the quality (without going overboard and wasting too much time). Tips like these are helpful. Honestly, I appreciate the "text pop" effect the most. That's an easy way to add some visual flair that I haven't been doing.

Hey Sam - been watching your stuff for ages and believe this is a hugely underserved area on YT. Tons of gaming content, but very little about editing and producing gaming content ... which leads to a lot of poorly edited gameplay! L cuts, J cuts, a second PC for camera angles, music for dramatic flair have been some of my most common. I would also say B Roll for gaming helps a ton.
Looking forward to you doing some more advanced stuff on gaming!

Woah. That's a level of editing I have never seen before on this scale, and downloading music as layers so you can compose its intensity!.. that's insane! I Guess its because my favourite RUclipsrs have a more simple style due to there extreme upload schedule and editing it themselves. With that said though I do want to do more of that less flashy more grounded stile that they are doing but I do see the advantages of the tips here and will definitely consider more often when to do stuff like this. Especially that music layer trick that's crazy.

I am definitely saving this for reference later. I do wish there was more specific Resolve instructions, but tbh, I'm happy you included any at all!
As a side note, your sponsor for this video moved to elgato marketplace (as you noted in the description), and try as I might, I cannot find where on elgato the social pop-up animations are, it seems to now be all overlays and sub alerts for streamers... do the social pops for youtube videos even exist as purchasable anywhere??
If anyone knows I would really appreciate some guidance!!! Thank you :)

Whats a good editing app for PC i could get for free or a free trial till he gets paid. Rn im using openshot video editor.

you know what i thought would be cool for viewers if it actually existed, is your webcam for instance the viewers can see your webcam on the stream and whatnot. but they can pause your camera on their owns terms not actually freezing it for everyone. they could morph your webcam or make your face look funny something like that to where they can physically interact with the stream. idk just something i thought might of been cool if it actually existed lol. or they could put funny hats or funny filters on your face i guess it would be cool if the other viewers could see what their doing also but thatll prob never happen haha
