  • While testing one of our body cameras on a stormy day a meteor hit the bay directly in front of me just as i sat down. The sound was insanely loud but only lasted for a second or two. Scary stuff, i was literally lost for words. Hopefully no boats were hit!

@@paulc7138 A meteor are those big rocks in space. A meteor that burns up in our atmosphere is called a Bolide. A Bolide that survives and actually hits the ground is called a meteorite. Just so you understand. The time it took from that bolide burning up, to the sound of the explosion reaching the cameras microphone was near instantaneous. That would leave one to believe, as the speed of sound is a little over 700 mph, that the bolide in question was very close. Therefore an explosion that close would have been significantly more violent. Instead we get a canned boom....These are some of the most powerfully explosive events known to man. Yet, no shock wave? Bolides burn brighter and hotter than the sun. Yet no reflection of that light on the water. Nor any shadows from the fauna around the area. Considering the time it took for the sound to reach the camera, the lack of shadows or reflections of the brightest light on earth, and complete lack of shockwave. Which due to the close proximity would have made the camera man flinch, and call out. Because he would be VERY surprised by this event as it is unlike anything you will ever see, or have seen. We are talking about the brightest, loudest celestial event that can take place without killing us all. Yet this cameraman is totally unaffected by something that should have hurt his ears, and maybe even knocked him over considering how quickly the sound reached the camera. What other proof do you require?

@@paulc7138 What impact? That was an airburst. As far as the Astronomy lesson? How small are we talking? Cheblinsk was said to be around the size of a refrigerator, and it was an explosion that was comparable to Hiroshima. So you are telling me, this METEOR was smaller than a refrigerator, closer than Cheblinsk by A LOT, and didnt cause any damage, reflection on the water, or shadows and it hit the water to boot? which would mean it was more than likely a metallic meteor which violently explodes. Ok....Yea....As someone who takes great interest in this subject matter, I take issue with fake and misleading videos. which this is.

THIS is the sound he took. It was from the Russian Meteor a few years back.

I have a perfectly reasonable explanation for this,
Due to the atmospherical sphere of the Earth and the gravitational pull of the round ball we refer to as the moon and our 1 and only moon that orbits Earth, which can also be known as a satellite, the meteor enters the stratospherical manifestation of the solubility of the milky ways solar system, it makes a sound barrier breaking noise that sounds like 10 to the power of 4 lightning strikes, *_which then allows to use the power of these big words to make me sound smart because I have no idea what I'm talking about._*

Now I"m not saying it's real, BUT the uploaders did post that he was testing his BODY CAMERA. Well, I, too have a body cam, I have an AXON 2 and I've walked around all day with it recording, just to test it out. Again, I'm not vouching for the video's authenticity, but I'm saying that 'him facing the camera in that general direction' is explainable per his post where he mentions he's testing out his body cam.

@@suntzu7474 You don't have to react vocally to be suprised by something. Also this is pretty plausible, around about 15-18 meteors strike the earth every day (ones that are large enough to survive the atmosphere friction, but not enough to kill people). Obviously, most of them go unnoticed due to falling into the ocean or just disintegration from entry, but it isn't unusual that it fell there.
The odds of him filming at the time, however, kinda makes me doubt it, but whatever the case, a meteor falling is most likely real.
edit: they are definitely large enough to kill people, I meant kill *everyone* like a certain meteor 66 million years ago
