There’s a laundry list of phenomenal songs that still need to appear but there’s one gay anthem that I am shocked has not been featured. I Am What I Am. Originally from La Cage aux Folles, sung BY A DRAG QUEEN IN THE PLAY, I’d probably go with the extended Gloria Gaynor version with a shortened instrumental. (The Dame Shirley Bassey version for UK would also be epic). In fact, I want it as a finale lipsync. “I am, I am worthy, I am, I am enough.” Perfect way to end a season. Other songs I’d love to see include more rock songs. Queens usually turn them out pretty hard, Alone by Heart, Misery Business by Paramore, some Joan Jett, etc. - I NEED more Tina Turner lip syncs - give me a campy “I believe in a thing called love” by The Darkness performance - Take Your Mama by Scissor Sisters (how have they not had a single lip sync song yet) - Carwash by Christina Aguilera ft Missy Elliott. Originally from La Cage aux Folles, sung BY A DRAG QUEEN IN THE PLAY, I’d probably go with the extended Gloria Gaynor version with a shortened instrumental. (The Dame Shirley Bassey version for UK would also be epic). In fact, I want it as a finale lipsync. “I am, I am worthy, I am, I am enough.” Perfect way to end a season.
Other songs I’d love to see include more rock songs. Queens usually turn them out pretty hard, Alone by Heart, Misery Business by Paramore, some Joan Jett, etc.
