First time I've seen any channel actually using a Travellers notebook for... travelling! Impressed by your dedication, imagining the original concept belonging in the era before airlines and tech, when the traveller had the time on the steamship etc... I tend to be overwhelmed by all the novelty and things to see traveling (in a good way) so being able to keep records is vital for me, when I get back I need that trigger to take me back to the mindset I was in, just like a photo. Being able to plan is also key to maximize limited time, adapt to changes, remember key things. And for sure I would *never* rely 100pc on tech. But I fail utterly to retain the esthetic you manage to achieve, bc I am not averse to scribbling even on moving vehicles... So looking forward to the Iceland vlog uploading? 🙂
Looks like you had an amazing trip! Thank you for sharing all of your different journals with us that you traveled with. I am planning a trip to Southern California this summer with my family. I have three teenage boys plus my husband. I LOVE to journal so I really appreciate all the tips I can get. Great video!❤
I love your sketches. They are very inspiring for me and push me to try it in mine. My dream is to have the pilot vp pen. I’m trying to get into better inks/pens with my journaling. I traveled for a month to visit family. I brought all my journals with me including washi. Sadly, I never used any of it. The photos on my phone recorded the date/time to spark that memory when I returned home I could I journal. To be fair, my visit was to take care of my daughter and brand new granddaughter, new babies keep you on your toes.
Thank you for this video ❤ I’m about to travel for 4 weeks to a few different countries and had no idea what to take and how to journal on the go and this gave me lots of ideas ❤
I loved this video! I’ve done a few trips this year where I wasn’t sure how much to bring, so seeing this was super inspiring! I also love your tombow color palette. I always get overwhelmed by all of the options and end up with weird ones that don’t coordinate well with each other.
On my vacation, I took one traveller's notebook insert, one black ink gel pen to fill up immigration forms and one black fountain pen, glue stick to glue in any brochures and tickets, small scissors to cut out any free tourist guide papers that I wanted to use the pictures into my journal. That was it 😂🤣😂🤣 !
I envy your minimalist style. I wish I could pare down like this as I try to keep to just one small pencil case and a few stickers/washi samples. But I have to bring my TN cover - I couldn't bear taking the insert naked 😂
LOOOOVE! Rest in peace old vanishing point! I think they sell nib units in case you still want to use the body! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and process!! 🧡
You can replace just the nib unit for the Pilot VP. If the body of your old one is still functional, you can fit a new nib unit in it. I believe that Goulet sells them. I've never done this, but a friend of mine replaced hers with a finer nib than she had originally bought.
I dropped my Vanishing Point and broke damaged the nib beyond repair. I also ended u getting a new one. It was very upsetting. It’s good to have you back.
You can buy just a nib unit. It’s a lot cheaper than buying a full new pen. And it’s so easy to change out. Also some nib meisters can repair the damaged nib too.
What a nice way to document your experiences on your trip! Love the idea of the His/Hers pages. I am going to use this idea on my next trip. Thanks for sharing.
Hey there. Same happened to my VP but I simply replaced the nib unit. If anyone wonders, toy can buy those separately. It was the same price as having the old nib fixed and I didn't want a custom grind, so... 😊
Rule 1 from a person who loses everything, never, ever, put things in the airplane pocket, things come out of my backpack, and go straight back in when I’m on a plane!
Can I ask which size nibs you had in your first vanishing point, RIP, and what size nib is in your new one? I have a modem nib and my writing is to small for it.
Since you used your passport tn as a wallet, did you always have like a backpack on and you would have to drop your pack to get your TN out? Or did you have a crossbody/purse that you could just pull your wallet out of easily?

Also isn’t goodinkpressions awesome? So glad I found them, and Nuria is lovely!
Good Ink Pressions are excellent!
i’ve been WAITING for this video ever since your poll about it weeks ago!! so excited to watch
Love my vanishing point too! All time fav pen! Not 100% sure but I think you can buy just the nib on jet pens!
Yes you can buy just a nib unit. It’s much cheaper than buying a whole new pen.
Sorry to say this but I'm so happy that you're back from your vacation, missed your videos a-lot!! love,

@@JustScribble I kept the body so I can always get a new nib unit. I was so traumatized, I just bought a new pen.
@@jaceny3077 I completely understand! I would be too. So sorry!!!

Yay I stumbled upon another TN enthusiast channel :)
Beautiful video. I truly enjoyed. What do you use to color some of the doodles ‘ art I’ve seen in your passport size TN?😊
@LindseyScribbles Did you know that Jetpens sells replacement nibs for Vanishing Point pens for $80.00?

extra fine!

When you say you love the vanishing point pens weight, does that means it's light or weighty? Just taking notes on hauls, ha ha, thanks.
It’s a heavier pen!
How did you blur private stuff on your video?
