*I like the features of the LED light on both the drill and the **MyBest.Tools** . I also like the contractor bag where I carry drill bits and driver attachments. So far the batteries hold charges to my satisfaction.*
WOW....Once I started working with Impact drivers 2 years ago I gave the hammer drill a rest. Every now and then I use the drill , but the impact driver is the ruler of my cordless toys..
I'm late to this video but not the hitachi triple hammer ! Still in 2019 it is the best cordless impact made bar none , I build many decks in summer and sink thousands of screws and lags with this tool...has never ever failed me once in the two years I have owned it and worked it to death ! An absolutely fantastic workhorse of a tool that no other brand can top..not one and I have used them all from Big red and big yellow to ridgid etc ..I'm such a fan of this tool ! It has made me thousands of dollars ! Still works as new ...Hitachi nailed this impact ..the one all others should be judged against ! Metabo is now branding it but still the same exact tool, perfection in every way and a real sleeper no one talks about! And that case ! I love it ! Keep all my bits and nut drivers in there etc ..just an all around amazing package !
The impact driver has surpassed the drill in my opinion, and become the number one tool every professional must have. This is a fine example. The triple hammer anvil is awesome. The Ip65 rating is impressive, and I love the case it comes with. Very nice!#tiacrew (but workshop addict is my second favorite!)
I like the IP65 rating. The rest of it is nice too, but it's nice to know you don't have to worry if you get stuck out in the rain and this is the last toll to get picked up.
Hello, I just watched your video. Greetings from Uruguay, today I bought the triple hammer, in a week I will have it at my house. never use. I am an hvac technician. I hope it can be useful. Greetings, I appreciate your comment.
rhino ranch that's not moving up, as soon as you do Milwaukee will answer with something much better, Hitachi has always high end homeowner, Milwaukee is as professional as it gets
I am unsure if Milwaukee is as professional as it gets...... Also, I am unsure hitachi is high end homeowner. how many homeowners need an industry leading SDS Max Drill. check our review of it out. ruclips.net/video/Sl2_NfZskWo/видео.html
That's very debatable, to say the least. Like it or not, Hitachi made the best impact on the market and it isn't close. Also, if you want to talk about innovation, DeWalt's FlexVolt is the most innovative platform on the cordless tool market since lithium ion batteries.
you guys should look at doing a video comparison of this drill as well as the new Milwaukee surge and a standard brushless impact to see the overall differences between them. maybe even throw in the ridgid stealth drive. great review keep them coming please!
The Stealth Force and Surge has been thought about. They are two tools with two different uses. Surge is for finesse, Stealth force is not smooth but fast. This tool is smooth, fast, but has finesse.
They all have a use and a buyer. I agree that's why I think a comparison of where each would shine would be helpful to new buyers. Just my 2 cents is all
I am always surprised when someone says that they are not a fan of hard cases. I try never to buy a tool without a hard case. Not only does it protect the tool better than a bag but they are stackable which is a huge plus for me. Suggestion for future videos. Please mention the warranty so we don't have to go looking for it.
I've had the 18v hitachi impact driver with the brushed motor for2 years now and have had zero problems with it. All my co-workers have made fun of this for 2 years now and I've watched their DeWalt and Milwaukee shit break and lose their strength. Another plus is that The mentioned brands( DeWalt and Milwaukee) everyone on the jobsite has and end up getting stolen. I rarely see hitachi on a jobsite.
Been wondering if there any power difference between the metabo hpt 18v triple hammer and the metabo hpt 36v triple hammer other then the 36v multi volt batteries and being able to use the 120v to 36v wall adapter @WorkshopAddict
The 36V is a little more powerful but the 18V is plenty powerful for what u use an impact driver for The other 36V tools are significantly more powerful on 36V line such as Hammer Drill, recip saw, circular saw, grinder, portable band saw, and it works well in 10" table saw and mitre saw as well And the whole 36V line can be plugged into AC adapter
@@baseballdude8491 I have the 10 inch table saw as well as other 36v tools and yes they can be plugged into the ac adapter for the 36v tools I knew that my question was only about the triple hammer
@@AntonioClaudioMichael glad you have the 36V line but many don't know about the other tools and how they perform--and many do not know about the AC adapter capability
@@baseballdude8491 that is fine I understand that... there also a ton of people that put the ac 36v adapter on 18v tools and wonder why there tool died lol
HUGE differences. First, the Ridgid SF has large pulses that will twist your wrist more when going fast. Think about it as large and slow impacts. The Hitachi has very fast and short impacts so your wrist and arm do not feel the pressure. Long term there is no doubt that the Hitachi will leave you feeling more comfortable. They may be close to the same speed in sinking a lag bolt.
I was thinking of buying the dewalt DCF887, does anyone have an opinion as to whether this hitachi is more powerful? Ideally want to stay with the dewalt as I love my nailer and have all the batteries etc
p web If you already have all the batteries, go with the Dewalt. I just bought the DCF887 and I love it, and believe me it's got more than enough power. Maybe the Hitachi is better, but you can't go wrong with Dewalt. Something better is always coming out.
Joe Montague I have. it used every impact driver on the market. I will say this is definitely in the top few! The one thing it is missing is a mid range speed...... It has low, high and higher. That is the only strike against it. if you do not use mid-range, this is it!
i think id rather a 2 hammer impact, more jam out of each punch... the ip65 rating is really cool though i was the more popular brands in north american would start coming out with gear tested in water and dust.. no reason why every tool couldnt be brought up to ip65 or higher
Torture testing. Working to put the tool through a bit more than the average person might. Sometimes we find the breaking point, sometimes they live through it.
so I went to a distant Lowes today looking for some hard to find Bosch stuff and I saw this triple hammer on clearance for 143$. Almost passed it up but I plan on buying into Hitachi for the nailers so I figured why not and went back for it for the batteries and charger. Bonus of a highly praised driver. So when I checked out, it rang up at 53$... Complete and total score... I’m checking it out now and am honestly blown away at the quality of feel this driver has. I have drills and drivers of every brand except Dewalt and this thing has the quality that I’ve fallen in love with in Makita. This Hitachi almost feels even nicer yet but I can’t wait to put it to some use. Just can’t believe there’s no charge indicator on the batteries.
even though the tool isn't meant for such jobs milwaukee's impact driver can actually remove nuts (extra tight or rusted shown from tons of videos on youtube). So it's safe to assume that Milwaukee's m18 fuel impact driver is more powerful than the triple hammer Hitach impact driver?
U would never buy another hitachi, had a drill the chuck was hopeless. Had a impact gun , battery ruined in 4 months. Had a nail gun battery will not charge. Moved back to makita with no problems. Wasted about £360 on the hitachi stuff.

I have used these head to head with the top of the line brushless makita. Makita is rated at higher RPM at No-Load speed. The mnakita is a good tool, but doesn't compare to the Hitachi under load.
Scuba Steve Yeah, sorry. I've used it for a week now, and it is very fast. I do like it as much as the top of the line makita. Nothing else out there compares.

Hitachi raised the bar with this tool. It is number one in numerous tool shootout tests.

or you forget it on the job and it rains overnight!
However, the battery is not covered by the IP56 rating. So if you leave it out in the rain, you may need a new battery.
I’d love for their to be a contest to win this Hitachi Triple Hammer! I need an impact super bad and would love this impact for work!
I just grabbed the metabo hpt 18v triple hammer bare tool today at lowes for 37 bucks bare tool amazing deal @WorkshopAddict
I bought up a bunch of them as well as the Hammer drill kits for as little as $60-awesome tools

Another great tool review. I have been running Milwaukee 18v Fuel impact driver, but I am ready to move up to this fine Hitachi tool.

Milwaukee leads in innovation, they always come out on top of the competition (dewalt, makita, rigid) and very few brands such as Hilti beat Milwaukee
That's very debatable, to say the least. Like it or not, Hitachi made the best impact on the market and it isn't close. Also, if you want to talk about innovation, DeWalt's FlexVolt is the most innovative platform on the cordless tool market since lithium ion batteries.

Well done to Hitachi! This is a really great tool.
This has quickly become my favorite impact driver. I wish they made this in a 3/8" impact wrench.
WorkshopAddict ,the new 3/8 Ingersoll rand brushless will put that "want" at ease !

Lifetime Warranty on this tool, 2 years on the battery.
Pro1er that's hitachi standard warranty. All hitachi lith ion batt are 2 yr. Tool itself is lifetime on ALL HITACHI
Just dumped 2000 roof baton screws with this thing. Gimme another 2000! Bloody hell! About time. We'll see how long it last ,heh.
I love my Dewalt 20V brushless impact driver but damn.............this thing looks sick.
Great review 👍 a very compact driver with ample power , impressed it has a high IP rating

Jared Gann We are seeing more and more Hitachi on the jobsites. They are expansive, so they are not as common, we agree.
Great rewiews man! You woth to have more then 1M subscribers!
That's a lot of power. Wow. Is that the most powerful 18v impact driver on the market?
I think so. I own it too and the difference in power and vibration with that third anvil is amazing.
I agree.
Love2boat92 Torque isn't everything without rpm to carry it. Check out the latest offerings from Makita. Still my go to cordless for most tools.
Is impact driving into the edge of chipboard a good idea?
Just a normal screwdriver will cause the piece to spread and blow out!

Can you do a comparison on the Hitachi WH18DBDL2(H4) and Makita DTD170Z
Looks like a copy of the makita xdt04 impact which i have and is awesome
Very good review and nice for hitachi

do you know if the older style battery packs will fit?
Brian do you think this is the best impact driver out there

Is the Triple Hammer just the U.S. name for Koki?
I'd like to get this tool but I think they went to high on the price. Its not affordable for the average Carpenter
Mr. Garra I picked this kit up for $159 at a local Lowe’s crazy sale.
i think id rather a 2 hammer impact, more jam out of each punch... the ip65 rating is really cool though i was the more popular brands in north american would start coming out with gear tested in water and dust.. no reason why every tool couldnt be brought up to ip65 or higher
Hold up.... IP56 means it can't be submerged in water and you literally submerged it in water. What am I missing here?
Torture testing. Working to put the tool through a bit more than the average person might. Sometimes we find the breaking point, sometimes they live through it.
The tether is removable, you just need to take the drill apart.
Oh wait, this is not AvE
No it is just a channel to make money off of. No actual reviews going on here.
Only $305 now. Driver + 2 batteries + charger + case.
It is starting to become reasonable.
UPDATE: Now $299.99

Is it both hammer action and impact action? :-/
No, look up how an impact driver or impact wrench works.
how about wheel lug nuts?
ms3bani You would want to look at an impact wrench. It might remove a loose lug nut, but nothing overly tight or rusted.
even though the tool isn't meant for such jobs milwaukee's impact driver can actually remove nuts (extra tight or rusted shown from tons of videos on youtube). So it's safe to assume that Milwaukee's m18 fuel impact driver is more powerful than the triple hammer Hitach impact driver?
*Made in China*
How long is this a reliable tool?
How many people have had trouble getting their Hitachi tools serviced I wonder.
Metabo purchase Hitachi, hence a lot of the new high quality tools. This is recent and should change a lot of issues.
No, it's the other way around: Hitachi bought Metabo.
And earlier this year, an American firm (KKR) bought both of them.
torque ? nm ?
i dont like the plastic over the metal and there using flat pack lipo aka salt water battieries where the best is 18650 cells looks cheap to me
"used for fine woodworking" - shows tool screwing into MDF.. hahah
It looks a bit similar to the Makita
FUCK I shouldn't have bought Milwaukee shit damn it
just wait till mil comes out with something better

you should take a look at Milwaukee's fuel line products and you'll see that Makita is nothing compared to Milwaukee xD
Chris Tran Milwaukee fuel impact drivers are junk.
@fancy if it was junk Milwaukee wouldn't be so confident as to include a 5 yr warranty with their products as opposed to a 2/3 yr warranty =]
@400 bucks.... not worth it in my opinion.
