It was a technology and business consulting division in the accounting firm, Arthur Andersen in 1950. Later in 2001 that Andersen Consulting became a separate company and named itself as Accenture.
Kim Petersen, an employee of then Andersen Consulting had suggested the name “Accenture”.
It is the largest consulting firm and a Fortune Global 500 company with a client base in 55 countries and in more than 200 cities.

In 2019 the company had an employee strength of 492,000 and reported revenues of $43.2 billion.
On 11 July 2019 Julie Sweet was appointed as the new chief executive officer of Accenture.

Reports suggest that every 4 hours, an Accenture system goes live.

Just a little correction. It’s not true stating that accenture handles half a billion calls a minute. It is most likely half a million but that is still an enormous amount of customer calls a minute 😊

I cleared interview of Accenture but after 11th I have 2 years gap and my diploma CGPA is 6.2 and in B.E is 7 CGPA I got loi from the company so my gap could be a problem in background verification
