Oh if you pay attention you can tell it's steep as shit, unlike an excavator bucket or your fellin head on 855 to a degree...........grapples will tell you. Always amazes me how such an unbalanced lookin thing like a shovel can balance enough for the places shovel ops can take them into without leveling gear on it.............I've been in shit with an excavator that was not good, without cab riser and it did NOT feel good, and I wasn't swingin logs, just buckets. Being set up proper adds a lot I'm sure with single bars, and a high and wide package. My boss likes to get the next series bigger buckets for all the excavators, so we always feel like we're on a cow's face diggin and loading 6x6 rock trucks lol
I was on some steeeeep stuff today in the 568 loader and it amazes me how stable those shovels are! Only reason I’m in that and not my 855 is so I can heel the trees into the skid trail for the Skidder and shove my way around on the boulders 😬
@wantowski987 gotsa do what ya gotsa do for productivity, even if it is the backup, 20,000 hour machine...........but the seat base situation would drive me to pickin my ass! Jostling around is flippin annoyin as all hell when you're trying to be smooth and gentle while sittin on marbles. Good change of pace video though with shovel loggin tilt machine ground lol
