• FFF - Factorio Friday ...
Check out Factorio at: www.factorio.com
Factorio is a game in which you build and maintain factories.
You will be mining resources, researching technologies, building infrastructure, automating production and fighting enemies. Use your imagination to design your factory, combine simple elements into ingenious structures, apply management skills to keep it working and finally protect it from the creatures who don't really like you.
Join forces with other players in cooperative Multiplayer, create huge factories, collaborate and delegate tasks between you and your friends. Add mods to increase your enjoyment, from small tweak and helper mods to complete game overhauls, Factorio's ground-up Modding support has allowed content creators from around the world to design interesting and innovative features. While the core gameplay is in the form of the freeplay scenario, there are a range of interesting challenges in the form of the Scenario pack, available as free DLC. If you don't find any maps or scenarios you enjoy, you can create your own with the in-game Map Editor, place down entities, enemies, and terrain in any way you like, and even add your own custom script to make for interesting gameplay.
Mod author here, thanks for spotlighting my mod 😄
For me, this is basically a must-have in huge packs such as pY.
Nice catch on the spidertrons. Need to fix that!
Looks helpfull indeed oh and my son is going to love Tarantulor too. I forgot all about that one.
The stack size thing would've been really nice to have for my Nullius run
Factorio needs to be careful with the data is shows. It can't quickly slide from fun to kind of dull spreadsheets and accounting. For You and I who like to min/max things it's fine but I don't think they want to limit their user base to min/maxers.
Yeah but still hiding it behind a setting should be fine
@@tekbox7909 There are some people that never touch settings. Other then them. Putting this under a setting won't change things. When is the last time you saw someone playing without Alt mode? Now putting it under a 'Easy Mode' with a bunch of other things may do what your after.
@@lucidmoses I mean if it's a setting that is off by default then if it get cluttered and you can't figure things out that's on the player. cause they made it cluttered. As for people that never touch settings well again that's on them settings are usually there for a reason
@@tekbox7909 You seem to be missing the point. It's not clutter that's the problem. It's removing fun/game play in favor of spreadsheets. It's not that no one would like it. There are people that would play the 'Doing your taxes simulator' but I would suggest the Factorio team would like a broader audience then that.
Think of it from a players point of view. With out all the data, people try things, PLAY with it. see what they can come up with. If you give them the data then they pull out there calculators and WORK it out.
In a game. Play is better then Work.
@@lucidmoses I don't see how giving people an easier way to see how many modules fit in a machine or how big a machine is or seeing how big the stack size is without having to search for a stack of the item is turning this into a spreadsheets. the info is there already this just makes it easier to access
another one of my favorite mods:D maybe you could do vortik’s armor reach next if you havent done that one already
edit: theres a debug option for showing all resistances for all buildings but i think thats vanilla
I'll look into vortik's mod for my next Spotlight if I can remember. :)
Been using this for ever
This is nice
I'm curious how the inserter speed stats would adapt to bob's modular inserters, where you can specify the starting and endpoint of an inserter and even modify the dropoff offset
It probably calculates it for how it's set up which would also explain why it doesn't show while the inserter is in the inventory cause it doesn't know if it'll be a normal 180° inserter
Xterminator, Subscribed because your videos are so much fun!
Thanks! Appreciate that!
The hand stack size is referring to how many items the inserter can hold in one sweep. It took me a while to realize. It probably should be "arm stack size" or "claw stack size".
The "Inserter Throughput" mod is more comfortable for the inserter speeds.
Ye but it's still a nice option to have and you can disable it if you don't want it
The mod's called "extended descriptions" but you don't hold the mouse over anything for the first minute of the video! on purpose!!!
It looks good, but I wonder how well it works with other mods, including ones like Big Brother.
What's that mod?
@@tekbox7909A mod that adds Techs that improves Radars.
