Thanks for the upload. As a native New Yorker, oddly i never ran across our brothers & sisters from Cape Verde. I started to meet more of them after I moved to to Georgia. Then i noticed that Massachussetts has a large population of brothers & sisters from Cape Verde.

11:49 not only reminds me of when I was in Ghana but also ironically one area of Toronto. I don't know if people realize this is pretty much the normal way how most of the world obtains it's produce. Supermarkets are more of a western concept (actually invented in the 1930s). Love these views but I'm writing because I was reminded of that at this portion.

@15:13 you was right in front of the sukupira/market. I was hoping you'd go inside. It's like Praia's Wal-Mart lol. You can get anything there. It's pretty dope. You can get custom dresses or dashiki shirts. They'll tailor make it for you. My wife loves that place. Great videos bro. Loving it. Makes me miss my country...

You need a Cape Verdean friends. I feel like you ended up at the spots that no one goes to. you were just at the wrong places at the wrong times. places like cape verde you need friends in-the-know to take you to the fun spots. There are so many parties in Praia that are packed and fun....
Agreed. It’s hard to navigate when you don’t know anybody.
@@djeanpierre Yes, Cape Verde is one of those places that you need to spend a good amount of time. You don't get the wow factor in short time you like you experience in Brazil, Europe or Asia. However, if you spend enough time there(travel through multiple islands), it is magical.
God is amazing , very far from us (Zimbabwe) and when I saw their map in the sea there I couldn’t imagine a good life like this ❤.. people are actually happy and vehicles are moving normal …lots of love our African brother ❤

Great work Dennis...TBH the beaches look pretty average although I am sure it is a fascinating place... maybe check out Curacao sometime...I think you would enjoy it...exotic with an interesting culture... difficult and frustrating at the same time... best wishes from Oz!
The beach he's showing is just a small city beach locals go to cool down. Those are not even close to being to the most beautiful beaches in Cape Verde.
@@la1130 I went to Tarrafal. That was a much better beach. You’ll see in the next video.
@@djeanpierre Tarrafal is a nice beach. Some of the other island like Boa Vista and Sal have big beautiful beaches.
Plus we speak almost the same language with Curacao
