Jeff. Thank you for the deck! I had been struggling after M21 came out because I very much wanted a Vito deck to succeed in Ranked. Alas it did not. I was hungry for a beat down deck when you posted the video. I put your deck together. Starting from Platinum 4 I hit Mythic with the deck today. I do not know if you go back and read older thread comments but I felt you should know when someone succeeded with your build. Here are the stats for those who are interested (all games played in Bo3): 11:19:18 in time played 37-20 for a 65% win rate (74% on the play; 52% on the draw) Thoughts... The deck started with a 70+ win rate through Diamond 4. At Diamond 3 I started running into a mess of miscellaneous "no fun" decks. The deck most often lost to me getting "Magic'd." I did not keep track of how often I flooded with this deck. I did not realize/pay attention to the fact the deck had 24 lands. But even with all of those lands I still had to mulligan down to 4 on multiple occasions. The deck also floundered a lot with too many tap lands. While I did win the occasional game with the 1 of cards (each one won me at least one game) in the deck, they were mostly superfluous. Terror of the Peaks produced the most wins. Of the games it hit the table it was either immediately removed, enabling something else to win the game, or won me the game. I believe I only lost one game with it on the table and that was to a Green deck running Stonecoil Serpent. The deck had a hard time Azorius, Temur, and Grixis. I wont include the matches where I only played 1 of a certain deck but the break downs are as follows: 1) 4-2 vs Mono-black 2) 5-1 vs Sultai (Almost never even close. I think I played against 1 Sultai who played Casualties of War against me and that was the one game I lost.) 3) 2-3 vs Temur (1-1 vs Temur Adventures; all others were Reclamation) 4) 3-1 vs Mono-white 5) 1-3 vs Azorius 6) 3-1 vs Mono-red 7) 3-1 vs Gruul (I was surprised how well I did in the mirror matches. One thing I noticed was the other decks were running a lot more ramp, which made it easy on me.) 8) 1-2 vs Mono-green (this is a complete BS stat because I had both of the matches I lost won except I flooded hardcore.) 9) 3-0 vs Simic 10) 2-0 vs Izzet 11) 2-0 vs Raktos 12) 0-2 vs Golgari 13) 2-0 vs Bant Initially I was dropping all of the 1 of cards when sideboarding. Once I noticed the deck had 24 lands I started dropping 2 fabled passages when sideboarding. This seemed to help my on the Draw win rate. If I were to change the deck I would drop Raking Claws and Zhur-Taa Goblin. I would add in Sparkhunter Masticore (Ugin, the Spirit Dragon owned me.) The other card to most effect the deck was Eliminate.
1:17:12 I think that was the right play. If you wait until they declare blockers, then they can block two creatures and then counter your Embercleave. This way if they counter your Embercleave they have to tap their creatures and can't block lethal.
I am playing a very similair Gruul aggro deck and have had a lot of fun with it! Not using Pelt collector though because I feel that it is a pretty bad draw after the starting hand, but maybe I should give it another shot. Have been meeting so many escape decks that I have using Klothys in the main deck to big sucess. Return to nature is also great against oven decks!
Amazing deck, went 6-0 in Platinum Tier 1 with one Gruul spellbreaker swapped with a terror of the peaks and two scry lands instead of shock lands. THANK YOU JEFF
I Love Aggro, and I Love Green as Well..... But, I love my Dimir Flash Deck....... Gruul Aggro and Mono Red Aggro has been what helps me Rank up faster tho, That and PawBlade.... these next few days that I am Off, I need to Latter more....
Teferi’s tutelage and Ugin is broken garbage too. Congrats on mythic. I made it too platinum in two weeks from bronze playing mono red. I Definitely want to build gruel for BO3.
Also idk what is up with Arena... the last week has been dumb with lands... 20 land cavalcade and I always lose because I end up with +8 lands and win with only 3-4 lands... makes no sense.
Hey Jeff, why'd you'd leave the church you grew up in. I'm interested to know and maybe PM about it. I'm a professional apologist and would love some cordial dialogue. Thanks
I hate that decks like these are consistently good... always these amazing red cards all the time. I mean we all got these kinda deck on Arena... but i dunno, just not a fan.
To be fair on Arena every deck seems incredibly consistent; Ramp Always gets Nissa on turn 3/4, Red Always has Embercleave on 3, control Always has Teferi on 3 and Shatter on 4 and Sacrifice Always has Claim the Firstborn. Maybe it's an Arena thing...
@@OsvaldoChannel1 sanctum? Mill? Nothing will ever come close to the consistency and mindlessness of aggro decks... I don't have him for it, I don't blame him for enjoying the style, it's simple and satisfying to overpower someone. I just enjoy the non conventional decks and wish they were closer to tier 1.
MrHoliday the things that make mill and sanctum not tier one is exactly that though, consistency. Consistency is one of the best attributes a deck can have
Meta evolves and due to Reclamation ramp every deck needs to put a clock on the other player. Embecleave puts a clock on you, Yorion shenanigans, Nissa etc.... you basically race till T5 with whatever archtype you think of.
@@itsholidaybb All decks are about this though. Aggro is only consistent if you dont answer it for 5 turns in a row just like a control deck can get to far ahead if you dont do anything 5 turns in a row. And counter/destroy tribal is more mindless anyways, just take yer pick and have fun.
That Stomp on the champion when they’re at 2...I felt that lol.
It was a FLEX
Establishing dominance!
the technical term is "Power Move"
i know it's kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good website to stream new movies online ?
@Terrell Layne try Flixzone. Just search on google for it =)

Swing swing from the tangles of my heart....AAR fan. Love it. More singing during gameplay

How do you get sponsored by mtg and wizards? What are the perks?
Hey where can I submit a deck list that I made? Because I made a really fun deck to play.
lol.. 7:44 go to face 2 dmg for that 2 life guy
You worked hard for it man! Great job it was a heck of a run
Dear Jeff,
You have to move up your monitor. Looking that much down is bad for your neck.
And thanks for the great content!
Love your content great Video!!!
Bo1 deck list ?
Missing lethal against BR SAC was killing me!!! Take a nap my man!!! You got the win thoujjf
congrats!
I wonder if that Gruul build couldn't use some Gemrazers to help against troublesome enchantments.
Great deck, love it, good video

I’m ranking up a lot with gruul aggro as it is just so powerful
I hope you feel better soon
elton john rocket man
Yo Jeff,long time no see.
Mulligan to 4, gets the win for Mythic. It felt like an actual Season Finale
nice work and no Ugin
Wow. This Gruul list kicks ass. Robber of The Rich is def the No. 1 win setup when on the play. Such a disgustingly good card.
You look like Tom Cruise.
This game always tries to pair mirror matches. It's so frustrating.
Go to bed Jeff. You need the sleep king
