- Episode eight of From The Archives contains unique footage of Ferry Corsten & Tiesto for a Dutch tv show called Lola Da Musica. The two dj's are being followed during their "workweek" in Ibiza, Glasgow and the Rotterdam FFWD Dance Parade.

5:58 = Best DJ that trance music has ever known, playing one of those tunes that would instantly give you goosebumps and send shivers down your spine while you were dancing, and you would do anything to get to the DJ booth and hopefully get the tune's title, and then pray to God that you would find the vinyl or cd somewhere and buy it... knowing well that you might not find it at all even if it wasn't a white label / non released, etc... Tiesto really knew how to take you on a journey, with magical tunes like these ... and the light technicians knew what they were doing back then too, now days they never know which moments need the awesome lasers, look at any Armin show, the stupid light technicians never do a good laser show at the right moments... and can we all tell the event organizers that we all hate the constant "put your effing hands up!" screams so that they stop doing it? ... Good trance music does not need to remind people to put their hands up, they just do, because they feel the music! ... it's trance, not stupid edm crap!

When Tiesto traveling on commercial airlines
It seems that it was more about real dancing and music back then. But now, when I look at the beatport, I just want to cry. Everyone is on big bad kicks + shitty melodies. (Almost everyone)
yeah..good news is I think it's at its peak, it can only get better from here, I noticed it progressively getting worse, 2011 it seemed to start, in 2012 it became hard to find good electronic music buried under mainstream garbage, and 13 and 14 it's all completely destroyed by over-exaggerated buildups and drops, and shitty chainsaw sounding synths
bluex217 I noticed the same wave you mentioned...It has come in and taken us back to the dark ages of music...I sit here on the Las Vegas strip tonight...Billionaire Hotels and their pretentious CLUBS selling bottles of vodka for $500-1000 dollars ....along with their electronic massive signs 100 feet high (Maybe higher!) pumping David Guetta, Hardwell, Skrillex, Afrojack, and yes! a modern day 2014 Tiesto....Sin city indeed!

+Hugo Hakvoort only its the quantity and quality of the underground stuff these days is only a fraction of what it used to be 15-20 years ago. Technology has made us lazy either in the mainstream or in the underground
Dashoost Ofcourse there's lazy stuff, but take JOOF Recordings for example, that label releases amazing underground (mainly) trance with a high quality.
This made my day, and it also fucked up all the plans i had for the day. Ended up searching around for old classics instead :D

System F - Out of the Blue (Commie Remix) Corsten seemed hesitant to acknowledge it... It's almost like producers were too territorial with their stuff. The beauty of trance back then was the ability to have several up-2-par remixes for the original... UK and the Commie's had it marked on that remix in my humble opinion...No other genre of music can claim to have such diversity
