    Agreed with the top loader for every order. I always do penny sleeve -> top loader -> team bag

    A lil extra thing you can do with top loaders is put a sliver of painters tape folded on itself in the top right corner on the sleeve. Kinda like this """[""sleevved card] , it allows for the buyers to pull the card out without having to fiddle with trying to get the card out.

    instead of toploaders for cheaper cards, i would use semi-rigid sleeves or shipping shields. Toploaders are technically non-machineable and require a higher price stamp. You risk your letter getting sent back.

      Well that depends. Ive sent single cards with a top loader and i never had a card get sent back to me. Btw i have 500 sales and 100% feed back

    I’m a big fan of semi rigid card holders personally.

    Also a return label stamp instead of a return label sticker is much cheaper.

    Nice video! I love how efficient that tcgplayer app card scanner is, I'm gonna try that out for myself to check my cards, I bet I have some hidden gems.
    Also, BCW has some awesome card storage options in case you outgrow the ETBs. They've got storage boxes on their site for anywhere from 100 cards to 3200+ cards and the cardboard box options are just a couple bucks. Worth checking out :)
    Edit: u could even use their 100ct boxes to ship mass bulk in case u ever sell like 100card bulk lots or something

      Keep me posted if you find any gems!
      I did see that they have storage boxes and I have a few in my cart on Amazon… just waiting to pull the trigger 😂

      Good point about the 100 count boxes, pretty high priced though. For bulk, I’ve been packaging 50 into team bags and sending them in bubble mailers!
      4K count boxes would be nice for organizing though!

    Hi! I'm curious at what level on TCGPlayer did you get the option to offer "Free Shipping on Orders Over $5"?

  • @rob2549
    @rob2549 2 месяца назад

    how are you making profits when you account for the cost of the card, the sleeve and the toploader, the packaging and labels and shipping.

    • @Gator_621

      It's not lol

      Sleeve and top loader is maybe 15 cents. Packaging and labels is probably even less. You have to buy those in bulk though, like hundreds or even thousands of them to get those prices. A stamp for a letter has gone up to 73 cents recently, but it was 68 cents. So shipping really is around a dollar or less. So if you charge a dollar for shipping then you are making some profit. TCGplayer does charge a 30 cent processing fee, and another around 12-13% of the total selling price. In this case he said it was 55 cents. So he is probably make less than 50 cents on a $2 order. What really kills him is actually the labor involved. You could easily get a part time job making $15 an hour. So you need to list, sell, package, and ship 30 $1 cards an hour for you to be making the same.
      There are a few cases where it is worth it. In this guys case it's probably trying to level up on TCGplayer and get the reviews, that will make it easier for him to sell high dollar cards in the future. Also it works if you have a store or something and have employees just standing around waiting for customers. You can always have them working on sorting, listing, and packaging cards.
      Is this going to be something that you can do instead of your job? Absolutely not if you are selling them for a dollar and actually need to buy the cards. On the other hand you can make some money on the side if it's just a hobby. Also you can make decent money if you have a good idea about what you are doing and pursue higher value items. It's not a terrible side hustle, especially when combined with content creation for a youtube channel. But really for most people something like this is a side hustle and will never replace their job. But it's a good learning experience and eventually you may hit on a side hustle that uses some of the skills from something like this that really does make you a lot of money.

    How often do people buy your cards on TCGplayer? I want to sell Cards fast currently i use mercari but i might move to ebay

    • @DayzMan_670
      @DayzMan_670 4 месяца назад

      Mercari is a great place to sell but it takes a while because of buyers fees and same with ebay, your listing have to be on the first page or you have to promote your listing with ads. But with tcgplayer you can sell your card to the bottom penny to get your listing on the top. Kinda worth it in my opinion. I had to lose money to make money 😂
