The lenses I use are coloured contacts, NOT for my vision. They're meant for cosplaying, dressing up or just a one-off. They are not meant to be worn constantly.
You should ALWAYS check with an optician before purchasing lenses just to make sure they're ok.
If you have a history of eye problems, if your eyes are different shapes, of if the lenses just don't feel right DO NOT USE THEM.
Always keep your tools clean. I always wash the tweezers after using them and make sure that the lens cases are super clean.
I learned at lot of new tips and tricks for this video from Earaness, check him out his makeup is awesome!: • How To Apply / Remove ...
I've said this in the video but I just want to say it again, ALWAYS check with an optician before doing anything with your eyes.

Really
I got tired of wearing glasses so I determined myself to wear contact lenses. At first it seemed really difficult and creepy, but after 2-3 weeks I got used to it. Now I can put them in & take them out in less than 1 minute :) trust me, there is nothing to be afraid of. :)
I actually used to watch this when I was a child. I have no idea why I did that, but I bought my first pair of contact lenses and as I was searching on how to take care of them and put them on, I remembered this video. It brought back a lot of good memories ♡
I just can't get them in! My eyes blink too much, it's almost impossible, damn, I've never thought it was that hard.
They sticks to my finger when i try to put them in T_T its so annoying.....
Lol, I just started using these a week ago. It's pretty much luck getting them in haha
The first time I've get them in it was a little complicated, but at least I get them in, the problem was take them off. IT WAS PRETTY HORRIBLE, but now I've been practicing and it's easier.
There are some tricks to get them off though easier than just pinching them out.
awesomeX King I had the same problem lol. when other people put on contacts t look easy but their hard for me they just wont go in my eye but I am wearing them now as I am typing this but I have a hard time putting them on lol
I put contact lenses on for the first time today! This was my second appointment because for the life of me I couldn't put it directly on my pupil at my first appointment. TIP: Put it onto the white of the eye it's much less sensitive than the coloured part. I got it in on the 2nd attempt.

But the lenses wont come off from my hand 😣😣😣 so it cant stick to my eye

Sameeeee! I couldn't able to put the lense during my first day, it was the eye clinic's assistant who was able to put it (I honestly felt like she was so stressed out and annoyed coz of me LMAO) but on the 2nd day I finally have done it but only on the left side coz my mom did the right side
An easier way is to pull down your lower eyelid, look up as much as you can, put the lens on the white, close your eyes and roll your eyes around. Done

Do you still have trouble cause I'm thinking of getting contact lenses
Don't look at the lenses while using them, try to "look at your other eye" and pop on the contact lenses on the other corner of the eye, then look at the contact lenses after blinking a few times.
@@johndoe45357 It's kind of hard. You can either look at the tip of your nose to help. Also, make sure there's no hand sanitizer on your hand when you touch the contact because when it goes in your eye it will sting. If water comes out that's normal.

Tips for beginners who are struggling with contacts:
1: make sure your hands are completely clean (obviously) and inspect the lens on the tip of you’re finger and check if it’s the right way up and if there is any damage to the lens such as a tear or a crease- if so then throw it away and use a new one. If there is anything stuck to the lens like a fibre, put it back in the solution to give it another clean.
2: If you cant insert them because you keep blinking, you’re probably just nervous. When you’re about to insert them just relax every muscle in your body and be comfortable.
3: There are two methods you can use for putting the lens in:
Use your dominant hand to pull your eyelid up and then use the middle finger on the opposite hand to pull the bottom of your eye down, so there is more space to put it in. Then look straight in front of you close up in the mirror and put it right in the middle of you’re eye and before you let go, slide it around the centre of your eye which will make it touch the white part of you’re eye (the part it sticks to). Now you can just let go and look in all directions to put it into place. THE ALTERNATIVE METHOD is to use your non dominant hand to pull your eye down, then, look straight up with you’re eye (not your head), meaning that when you see your eye in the mirror you should mostly see the white part. Then just put the lens onto the white part (which means that it is immediately stuck onto your eye) and now let go and look straight down first for a few seconds, before looking in all directions as well. It is completely normal for you to feel a slight discomfort for the first few minutes...it will shortly become more comfortable, however if it is really irritating, do not rub your eye at all and just be relaxed and slowly take it out using a pinching method and check if it is damaged or the wrong way up, if so use a new one and if not then just try again.
I don’t know why so many people struggle to take it out!! For me removing them is so easy but I struggle way more putting them in. To take it out, you don’t need to use any hands to pull your eye down/up - all you have to do is open your eye wider and use your thumb and index finger and grip the lens from each side, then apply A LITTLE pressure and pinch it out. Sometimes for me I feel like I’ve taken it out but then i haven’t😌 THE ALTERNATIVE METHOD is to pull your eye down with your non dominant hand, look straight up and roll the lens to the white of your eye and pinch it out like that (I prefer the first way but if that doesn’t work try this way) also, it’s really important on this part especially to not have sharp nails because this is the part where your fingers really get in contact with your eye.
😘
"Problem" is that she doesn't even fucking blink while her finger is in there... Figuring out the motion to put it on and taking it out isn't difficult, getting used to not blinking is the difficult part. I spent 1 hour today trying to put the damn things in and failed miserably.
Mee too, just cant stop blinking
You just gotta practice, takes me a few tries, then I get it. Only took me a few days to not blink. Try going closer to the mirror. That makes you not blink.
It takes me forever to get mine in, and then another forever getting them out. Hard not to blink.
I was terrified of contacts when I first got them but now I'm a pro with them lol just keep trying you'll get it
Hold your eyes open with one hand. And place it in with the other.

I was so scared to put on contact lenses. Finally broke my contact lense virginity 😅
🤣🤣 why did I laugh
Ok, so tips for putting in contact lenses.
1. If the contacts are prescription lenses, go to your eye doctor. They'll give you tons of helpful tips.
2. When getting the the lense in, make sure that your hands are dry and clean. If your hands are wet or sweaty the contacts will slip and once they hit a surface you'll need to clean them. If the hit the floor or carpet. Throw them away. They aren't safe to put on your eye anymore.
3. When holding your eye open, make sure that your finger is under your eye lashes so you can see the peach color under your lashes. Do this for the top lid. For the bottom just pull down on the lid.
4. Now when approching the eye, your going to blink a few times. This is normal. Take deep breaths and make sure your relaxed. This is going to be hard.
5. Trial and error. Keep trying until you have them in your eye or you've you've tried so many times your crying, like I was. Keep at it but don't hurt yourself.
6. If you can't get them in, ask your eye doctor for eye drops, to get a feel of opening your eye. This is what I did.
7. I believe to get them out you need to pinch the lense. If you can't them out ask a person who wears them all the time to help you.
7. Calling it quits is ok too. Contacts are hard and need practice.
I hope this helped. Good luck! 💕
putting in contact lenses looks scary as fuck to me
it's normal if u do it urself XD doesn't hurt but tears naturally come out lol
+kimdontcare244 removing them looks ever more scary to me
i have a very unsteady hand, i tried putting them in and dropped them 4 times. just gave it up as a bad job in the end xd
kimdontcare244 it took me more than an hour the first time I got my contact lenses. I was putting it in wrong and I was using too much force XD I've had contact lenses for months now and they are easily put on and taken off. When putting on contact lenses, make sure they're on the tip of ur finger. Hold all ur eyelashes up. And put it in naturally, gently and quickly. Just one touch onto the eye will keep it on.
+kimdontcare244 dont worry i suck at it to this person just made it look scary and over protective i dont do half of the stuff she said to do
I just got contacts this week and personally they are quite easy and comfortable to put on.
I highly recommend for people who want them.
But they do make your eyes water and tear up when you put them in!
Where u got them from?
Hey i wanted to ask you..is it ok if you don't see anything clearly...like do you see everything clearly the first time you wear your lenses or you need to squint your eyes first and see things??
@@mirasharma1222 omg, i wrote this comment two years ago.
ok so, yea you should see everything clearly. your eyes just water a bit but you shouldn’t have to squint as long as they are the right prescription. but if you not used to contacts yet, your eyes will be a bit irritated and you will blink a lot but that gets better over time 👍

I just got prescription contacts the other day. I love them so much. Its not painful taking them out or putting them it at all. It just feels weird at first. It was a little hard at first because I kept blinking but eventually I got better. Its so much better than wearing my glasses all the time. :)
One day, I put my contact lenses in and they started stinging. I tried toughing it out, but then my eyes got cloudy. I took my contact lenses out, and somehow they cut and dried my eyes. For the whole day, my eyes were sealed shut because of the reaction my eye got from the lenses. Every second, a wave of stinging pain would come. I literally thought, “Death is better than what I’m going through” because of the pain. I couldn’t open my eyes for 10 hours. It was awful, the day felt so long. My dad had to guide me around our house. He said we needed to put medical eye drops in my eye to help get them better. I could ever do barely life my left eyelid, enough for him to quickly squeeze an eye drop through. The right one however wouldn’t budge, and when I tried my hardest my hand literally jerked away from the reaction to the pain. Worst day of that year.
Long story short, if your lenses start stinging, TAKE THEM OUT!
Think about what blind people go through everyday
lilianna Broderick yes, but their eyes don't sting & they are used to it.
It is ok to have dry eyes don’t worry

I've been wearing contacts since I was 12 and it actually feels really nice when you put them in. I prefer to have a little of extra fluid on the contact because I have dry eyes so it feels really nice when the wet contacts go into place
I'm thinking about getting contacts since I'm very self-conscious about how I look. I just had a few questions about contacts.
I've been told the contact can slip behind your eye is it true?
Also if I do start wearing them would it be painful when I do it?
Also can I do physical education and soccer with contacts?
Also is it painful to apply the contact?
Also how long should I keep a contact in for and when should I replace them?
+Just Another Girl contacts can slip behind ur eye if u sleep with them or rub ur eyes.
it won't be painful do it even beginners.
yes u can do physical education with ur contact lens it safe.
it wont be painful when u put ur lenses in for the first time.
always soak ur lenses for at least five hours. you may store ur lenses for up to 30 days in the unopened lens case. if stored longer than 30 days between wear u need to follow the cleaning and disinfecting steps before lens insertion.
its a potato But do not under any circumstances sleep in contacts
+its a potato will any damage happen if they slip behind my eye?
+Just Another Girl well its not really lost behind ur eye its actually lost somewhere around ur eye. some people rub their eyes to get them back while some place an onion near their eye to get them out .
Few tips for beginners- the main aim is to keep your eyes wide open, make sure lens don't get touched to lashes, they won't allow it to set properly. Use whichever hand is stronger to hold your eyes open ( i use my dominant hand as it has more grip/strength). Apply some powder over your eyelids to prevent your hand from slipping ( do wash hands before touching lens though). Make sure you practice holding your eye open in mirror first without lens, it should not be able to blink when you are holding it. The lens has little cooling effect so don't worry it would feel nice when it would touch your eye. Place the lens anywhere in your eye, close your eye and do clockwise or anti clock movement it would set on its own ( advanced technology). And no matter how many videos you watch, you would have to take that leap of faith yourself, so be brave take a deep breath, relax, have courage, you can totally do this. Trust me i was hell scared to try it at first but if I can do it so can you!
I think putting them in isn't a big deal but getting them out just looks so painful and disgusting! 😖
it's actually way easier than putting them in.

guys i used to struggle in putting these things on my eyes but now im all good here are some tips:
putting on:
use both of ur middle fingers to drag ur eyelids and use ring finger to put on the lens
when u put it on stay for at least 5 secs just take a deep breath if u did not succeed dont ever pressure urself.
think of it as a fun thing to do and it is just so satisfying to me ;)
taking out:
put any finger on ur eyes also the same method put on it and stay for 5 secs and gently pinch it out
if i can do it u guys can too good luck
For anyone who is struggling at put contacts in if your eye doctor will observe you put them in for around 30 minutes it really helps. Don't keep your contacts in for swimming bathing or sports. The hardest part taking them out... just simply slide the to the outside of your eyes until you can pinch them off. Hope this helps!
Taking them out is the easiest part.
You're wrong you can bathe and play sports with them
+RIFTEN GUARD It's not recommended you do this though. It can make it easier for your lenses to absorb bacteria and cause an eye infection
I have a -5,25 i don't know how the numbers in america are but in belgium it's really bad and if i need to take them out to play basketball i can't see anything so you can sport with them!
+RIFTEN GUARD You can play sports with them with very poor vision, but if you have good enough sight to not use them it's recommended.
For everyone whose having trouble putting their lenses in for the first time, please understand that it’s perfectly normal for it to be hard when you’re new to them and it will definitely become easier as time goes on. Believe in yourself, you’ll get it eventually!!

practice touching your eye without the contact lense
JiffiJiffJeff Does it really help? Would it not cause any harm to the eye?
Mayank Karnwal nope, as long as you have the solution on your finger
Yeah it happens to everyone but with practice putting them in you'll get the hang of it! :)
ARGHHH my stupid eyes keep BLINKING !!!!!!
If your nervous about putting in contact lenses, don’t be. I was shaking I was so scared but they are actually really comfortable! It is easy to put them in and take them out if you do it right!

Hello! I just wear the contact lens for the first time. When my lens lay on my eyes, I can feel the contacts lens in on my eyes for like 1 hour. Is it normal for the beginners that feeling a bit uncomfortable even tho you put in right way ? I really scared wearing the contacts lens however I want to give it a try!! Thank you so much in advance.
I have been wearing contact lenses for a while. It's possible that the contacts may be inverted and the edges will flare out slightly if this is true. The contact lens should look like a bowl if facing the right way. Also make sure that there is not the slightest tear in the lens. The discomfort may also be caused by stuff in your eye or even an eyelash. You may want to visit an optometrist if you check all of this and you still feel a bit of discomfort. Good luck!
In my country (America) they give it to us ready to wear in plastic packaging, and you actually want the contacts full of solution so that they stick to your eye and don't dry out. The way she didn't open her eye is the hard way to
Im really scared to this contact lens, especially when removing them. And I know nothing about em. But so far I havent try em on but I really want them badly.
The left and right thing is especially important if they are prescription contacts
I know
I laugh now at how hard I used to find it - I was so scared to put it into my eye but honestly it’s nothing but at all it’s sooo easy
When I put my contacts in now a days, I look right into the face of death itself.
FINALLY DID AFTER ALMOST AN HOUR
lucky youu it takes like 4 days (exactly 1/2 hours a day) to practice.. and im still tryingg
It's just easier to use glasses seriously
Tyler Mustard I HATE GLASSES
No. Lenses are so easy when you Get used to them. Way better than glasses
Its a bit tough but gettimg used to it will make it easy
Tyler Mustard I need glasses because mine are UV ones.
@jikookmin shipper Is coloring your eye really fucking necessary?
Absolutely appreciable.. it's not easy to put these eye lenses in your eyes specially when there is a heavy light source...hats off 2 u
I couldn't do that, I can't even use eye drops without blinking uncontrollably and tensing up, but it's just probably because I got stabbed in the eye when I was little and nearly went blind, twice.
Jesus
nah its a natural reaction i do that all the time but i didnt get stabbed in the eye
OMG the stabbed eye thing is HORRIBLE! Nice you still can see! But I think all this tense is from your subconscient, scared of that again and there's no way you control this thing....I guess with time this will stop.
Was it the purple shirted eye stabber?
Loch OHMYGOD.
your original eyes color is more beautiful
where I could find the background music ? Its so beautiful... ^^
if you read this, I really hope you can let me know...

For all newbies, its easier to look to your nose and put the linse on the white part (on the outside of the eye) and then look at the other side. This does not feel so strange because you do not really feel anything on the white part or at least not so much than on the linse. (sorry for my english, im an austrian) ;)
Damn wish I can do it as quick as u takes me an hour to put them in
how long you have been wearing contacts for ?
+9906168490 first week was hard but now can get them in under 5mins find your own Method that works for you

This looks so easy but it's so hard. I've been trying to get mine in for about 30 mins! When she does it looks so easy but it really isn't! I already get one in and it doesn't irritate my eye at all but the other one just doesn't want to get in, ugh!
Yup. I'm sticking to glasses
Beatie G me too My sister has contacts and I saw and she kept poking her eye and I was like you know want I'm gonna stick with glasses
So I remember my first time trying to put lenses on and looking for guidance from RUclips. Now I master wearing them.. I just wanna tell you guys to keep trying because it’s absolutely worth it! Of course your eyes will blink, you’re basically inserting a plastic thingy inside, your eyes are freaking out😂.
fuck this I'm sticking to glasses
same this is freaking hard
don't give up, it took me a week to get the hang of it. Now it takes 2 seconds to put each one in.

God this was fun to watch at 1am while busy the next day
....
Gonna binge watch cosmetic girl videos now
I spent two hours this evening, just on trying to put one single lens into my right eyes... you can consider how long I took for the other eye and remove them out...
i watched so many videos before thid one and tried for over half an hour,, but this trick helped me put them on the first try !!! thank you!❤❤
You have such a gentle voice..
So I tried wearing lenses for the first time today and once I finally got the lenses in there's like this kind of painful feeling in my eye
Is it normal for a beginner or not normal?
Edit : and is it normal to like have tears coming out from your eye's after the contact lenses got in into your eye's?
Yes
lol I know u know the answer by now but it is completely normal
This might be a stupid question but... does it hurt? like, when you first put it in? What does it feel like?
it feel like you have something in your eyes but it don't not hurt (sorry for my english)
It feels like an eyelash, but it doesn't sting or burn.
I think each people have different first-time eye-reactions. When I first put it on my right eye, it feels like there's an eyelash in my eye, but after a few minutes, I didn't feel anything. But a year later when I put it on my left eye (My eyesight are asymmetrical), it felt quite uncomfortable for a moment, like a burning sensation. But the next day, it felt normal again.
So yeah, you just have to get used to it. First time experience could be uncomfy
Just put mine in for the first time: it doesn’t hurt but it just feels like your eyes are a little irritated by something for the first few minutes but after about an hour, I didn’t notice them at all. Taking them out and putting them in is pretty difficult the first few times until you learn how to not blink.
It doesnt hurt, but it feels like theres an eyelash in your eye. It does make your eye dry up very easily though.
Her voice and ascent and her tone and speed is perfect😍😍😍😍
Am I the only one who is slightly creeped out by the music at the beginning of the video?

Same, man.
It took me 2 days to get them on and 10 minutes to get off. Everyone has a different comfortable way of putting lenses, some people drag both upper eyelids and lower area of their eyes and some just drag the lower area down, which is what I do personally. And my doctor hadn't told me that we can actually insert them without pulling the eyelids up which is why I struggle in the first 2 days but when I came home I practiced and finally insert them in a different way than the doctor had told me.
I got my first lenses ever yesterday! My right eye hurts as hell when I put the lens in and I keep tearing, feel the lens itself whenever I blink! But this never happens with the left one tho! I wore them for 3 hours then took them of. My question is that Does it matter how the lens is? I mean if the lens is up side down? does that make me feel it in my eye? // I don't know how to describe the feel but I hope someone answers me!
you have to becarfeull a lot don’t wear it if its dirty or it could stick to your eyes and yo have to make a surgery..
omg I clean it so well before I wear it. today was better than he first day tho. the whole problem is just I dont know how I am supposed to know if it is on the right side!
Alaa Mansour you should have a small 2 circles box with a L and R to not lose which one they are but if you have lenses that are for the same eyes it doesn’t matter if its right or left its my 3rd time wearing lenses its well when your eyes gets used to it..
Scaltazs Yes You are right now it's much better and it got easier to get it in and now I know if it's on the right side or not. Thank you so much.
Alaa Mansour thanks me too i took them out on first try its my new record very simple just don’t blink and pinch the lenses softly to take them out its so fun after i use lenses for vision do you use colored or for vision instead of glasses?? i used them to see in class i don’t like wearing classes in public its just not me..
omg I'm getting contacts in December and I'm scared 😱

Ngoc_ Marshmallow Why???
dont worry just keep learn from youtube video..im also like ur guys dun know how to use contact lens before but i learn how to use n how to keep clean to use contact lens
Why am I watching this, I don't have or need contacts omg
These aren’t for ur “eye site “ these are if u wanna change ur eye color ..
some hacks for puting in contacts:
1st-if you have extremley strong reflexes it will be easier to hold both your upper and lower lashes with your ring and middle finger
2nd-put some solution in contacts before puting them in your eye,i just found it makes it more comfortable to wear that way
3rd-do it as close to mirror as possible in begining it will help
4th-if there is any air bubles just look in that way and they should pop
5th-when taking them off its easiest to pull them to a side where they create like a little wrinkle so you can grab them easily
I went to the opticians yesterday to get a contact lense like fitting and they tried to teach me how to put them in and I just sat there for 30 minutes failing completely with my mascara running down my face from my eyes watering so much 😂
