Hip-hop has became the devils play ground this is why i appreciate you ,and other positive influencers like... Kendrick Lamar one of my all time Hip-hop favorites! Music is truly medicine for the soul...
You're so real and vulnerable. That's what makes you relatable. I found your channel because of Kdot. But I'm still here because of you 💛✌🏽 "If you're going to talk about people, you should be willing to pray for them" I will carry that with me 💯
Salute to you for putting a spotlight on Boosie and TI for doing what fathers are suppose to do. When they see their kids going down the wrong road. The Offset and Cardi B divorce is sad no one wins when the family feuds. The kids lose the most it's sad.
Hearing you speak on Cardi B and Offset was so refreshing, especially after watching JBP. It was 2 hours of just nasty gossip podding. Loving your pod and the music, keep it up Dee-1!!
I def agree with holding the fans accountable. Not just codemning the music that glorifying the negativite but also commending our older artists who’s newer music are more evolved from their younger days and not calling them “washed”.
That’s very true!! I don’t pay any attention to the jelly heads or meat heads always calling something “washed” just because, they can’t comprehend the evolved person of the artist!!
Peace Fam. I am 48 years old and I grew with Hip Hop my entire life. I and still a Hip Hop Head but what I have been seeing through the years is horrible. I truly appreciate what you are doing brother. You are amazing! Keep up the good works of God. Amen. Peace Family.
Prayers up to all the families dealing with the fallout of this very spiritual battle 😢 I pray they all are able to encounter the living God and have their eyes opened by the father. Whether it be divorce or gun violence being normalized , it’s all part of the devils schemes to kill , steal, & destroy our loved ones. But it’s nothing God hadn’t foreseen, which is why powerful voices like you brother David are rising up. To teach our younger generation how to do it correctly and all for his glory. It’s so refreshing to see your mission play out, it literally brings me to tears every time I stop and think of all the impact you’re making. Keeping you and voices alike in my prayers because the laborers are few but the harvest IS plentiful. The kids won’t hear it when it comes from a different mouth. Your anointing is so real, and it’s because of your heart of submission. Stay blessed and highly favored 🕊️🥰

@@truetalk9154 If youre asking why we call him "Jesus" when in Hebrew it might be written YHSHA (sometimes pronounced Yeshua) it's basically because of translation. As the Bible moved from the Middle East into the European world, the pronunciation and transcription changed. Ys becoming Js isn't such an uncommon linguistic phenomenon. I'm sure Jesus or YHSHA, God or YHWH (or Jehovah) will hear and understand the sentiment no matter which name you use.
As someone who's getting ready to put one foot in the rap game, I think you're speaking straight FACTS! I didn't get into rap to talk about killing people, doing drugs, or anything else from a life I never lived. People blasted that stuff in one of the neighborhoods where I used to work and it drove me crazy. I got into rap to speak my mind and send my message! And an interesting history lesson that I think is relevant for those who may not know (I'm learning about this right now in one of my classes): Hip Hop got its start in the 1970's when the Bronx was on fire, as a means to give a voice to the voiceless. In fact, what we know as conscious rap today was the prevailing thing back then. It's where the culture started, and it just might be where it should have stayed!
David, I am so grateful for you and the impact you are bringing to our world. I was running with a dangerous crowd when I was a kid. I was 13 when an acquaintance held a loaded gun to my head, in front of a bunch of friends, and just laughed it off as a joke. I was assaulted by that person that same night. This was in the early 90s, in the suburbs of Dallas. The song Six Feet Deep came out around then. When you talk about the impact of music, especially what you listen to as you’re growing up, that’s real. I play your music all the time in the car with my kids. I love that they enjoy the beat, and your message is good for our souls. Keep doing God’s work. ❤
I’ve been fighting with this issue within me. I think I commented on the last pod about it. Crazy this happens next. I know it’s not right for me to wish certain things on people but man it’s hard when I see what artist have done to my community. I said I hope rappers kids, like future etc., end up doing the things they rap about just like my peers and younger kids in my community did. I want them to reap what they’ve sewed. So when I saw this I I can’t lie a sense of joy came over me. These artist have been well off for years and I don’t necessarily target Ti and boosie (more so TI) bc they did change. But when it comes to future ESPECIALLY, I really be wishing it bc I know wayyyy too many kids including my own younger brother who did everything he said bc of how he made it cool when it came to being drugged out. I know it’s wrong and usually I can get outside of myself and just give it to God, but as my brother is currently in a mental facility for all that stuff he did, my heart just won’t let me get past it. I pray to God to change my heart on that subject foreal
Your content is off to a great start. 4,000 views already I bet it has a disproportionate impact beyond its views by reaching the right people. Kendrick once said he wants people to treat his songs like college courses and study them. This feels like a graduate seminar for people who do that and are digging deeper into that message. Like when your favorite professor introduces you to a new professor and you learn a lot from them too. I’m not on the Christian vibe personally (between religious trauma and a more Buddhist/yoga orientation for my spiritual practice), but I’m very sick of dysfunction and seeing traumatized young people pass on their trauma to the next generations, so anyone working on that goal is my ally. Maybe I’d be better with Christianity if I saw more flipping tables energy like this. 😂
Been rocking with you since “Against Us” with Lupe and Big Krit. Love with you doing and you have definitely motivated me to push your message to people.
