    Thank you for sharing this.
    I was born in the 80’s a few years after you were born, and internet back in the 90’s consisted of dial-up and later legacy DSL. Nokia brick phones were standard in the late 90’s. Growing up in the woods, my family’s only option was dial-up. One family computer, so we all had to share.
    Gen Z was handed smartphones as kids so you can see the impact that has had. Steve created the iPhone in 2007, before that it was flip phones which all had very slow internet and limited texting. These barriers forced people to be smarter and limit their cellphone usage.
    Today those barriers are gone, and Gen Z is consuming some of the worst filth you can find on the internet.

    Never had children, but if I try to point this kind of stuff out, I get thrown under the bus by all generations. People want to believe that the only way to truly understand the universe is to have children, and then they let someone else raise their kid. ???

      This is why I will never fully side with Matt Walsh and Ben Shapiro. Some of their ideas are good on paper, but with both being controlled opposition they will promote whatever the right wing thinks is good.
      This is also why we don’t have balance anymore. The 80’s and 90’s allowed you to be more independent. Today not only is the cost of living unbearable and our economy in shambles, but people are so ideologically brainwashed that they have to pick a side.
      Fence sitters and moderates like myself are out of the picture.

      @@KratostheThird Of course, you're smarter because you sit on the fence. It can't be that people have their own valid reasons for subscribing to a given ideology, they must just be brainwashed.

    As a university lecturer (former), while I don't agree with everything stated, much of what you said about academia is true. Here is my perspective nobody wanted.
    There is a lot of self-censorship and intellectual dishonesty going on. And I'm not even from US, I'm from Australia. Jody, it's not that we are cowards (and you never said that). But when the backlash means you may lose your job, and your family depends on it, it's not easy to be brave. I have resigned from my position (about 2 weeks ago), made 'Professor Lich' persona, and now I teach on RUclips instead (or trying to). We'll see how that goes.
    Mrs. Lich (my wife, primary school teacher) says: I can manage misbehaviour, that's not even the worst of it. Getting abused by the parents is where we're at, and frightened principals who won't stand up for their staff. Job is dangerous, you're treated like shit, and salary is shit-and people wonder why there's a teacher shortage!

    • @KratostheThird
      @KratostheThird 4 месяца назад

      This is a complicated issue. My argument is many Baby Boomer parents failed to properly raise their Millennial kids.
      Today in 2024, we are the parents and the teachers, and we are doing a poor job at both. This isn’t necessarily our faults entirely, but it’s like you said, cancel culture reigns supreme.
      Jody made a good argument on older generations being too tough. Now we are seeing the polar opposite. Because of cancel culture, we cannot speak out for fear we will be distanced not only from our jobs, but our friends and family as well.
      I hate this current timeline, and I do hope we can swing back to common sense and a little more decency.

    Pretty spot on... Being born in the early 90s most of my memories growing up are from late 90s on. I never really got a whole lot of time online until '03 due to being so young and not having a computer capable of accessing the internet and parents who (likely wisely) refused to allow it until I was at least a decade old. I did probably have more computers to play on/with and disassemble/reassemble than most however. Being a kid during that time is definitely something that has given me a fairly unique perspective especially in light of the things happening to and around genz+ while they grow up and go from dependents to adults.
    The fourth turning is upon us though. Hold on to something, 'cause its gonna get ROUGH for a short while it seems!
    Thanks for your perspective and thoughts on this. I'm probably 6-8yrs younger than you, but my experiences and observations from then to now aren't all that different from yours

    I'm a zennial (early zoomer who has more in common with millennials than the later half of the generation) and I could relate to more than half the stuff you said about what zoomers went through, even the beating stuff to an extent; my parents rarely beat me because they resented their own parents beating them so much, I only remember being spanked three times in total and only after I acted like a huge little sheet each one of those times.
    When the whole "woke era" started in full force back around 2016 I was kind of a flip-flopper about it; I didn't want to go full rebel against wokeness because I was afraid of labels, but I was realizing the "side" I agreed with for years was getting out of control. Ironically it took until I started using Twitter (yes, Twitter) around 2021 that I finally decided if I didn't actively reject this stuff, it was gonna consume me and everything I ever cared about and believed in (not like I didn't realize on some level that that was already happening). I guess seeing how wokeness twisted, perverted and corrupted so much stuff dear to me like it was worth less than garbage (not to mention all the canceling over petty stuff) gave me enough of a sudden shock as to realize who the real enemy was, and seeing enough dissent about it on the very same site made me feel like I wasn't alone anymore.
    I believe one major thing that kept me from "converting" into their ideology was that I was a lurker for most of my time on the internet and still am to an extent, so I wasn't too worried about what people online thought of me since I wasn't part of any group or community, because I grew up during a time in which the internet was still pretty new and "internet common sense" was still a thing (e.g.: don't talk to strangers online, specially if you're a kid), while my irl group of friends kept me grounded to reality. It's a shame how the newer generations grew up having so much confidence with the internet because I consider the modern internet to be more dangerous than ever, specially for kids, and I say that as someone who's been on the internet since I was at least 9, but the difference was that my parents (as much as they were and still are techno illiterate boomers) were actually parenting me, while millennial parents can't be bothered to do any actual parenting and they too ate up the lie about the modern internet being safer than ever.

    Marxism in schools began a hundred years ago. It was micropaced and finally has peaked. Very, very careful and long term planning. See the 'Deliberate Dumbing Down of America' by Charlotte Iserbyt. And read her references. (I imagine her work has been edited. Try to find early editions of the book.) The seeds of the modern education system in late 19th century are fascinating.

    C-section births are as high as 50% for years now. Unfortunately the standard practice is to put the newborn on formula which is little more than surger water, causing brain shrinkage.

    • @KratostheThird
      @KratostheThird 3 месяца назад

      Caesarean section births were for mothers who could not give regular births, no matter what they did.
      The standard practice today is deliberate. Made so kids will grow up to have mental deficiencies (asbergers, OCD, ADHD, etc) by the time they’re elementary school age which means more diagnosis which end up harming the child.
      Quite different to when Baby Boomers grew up in the 1950’s - 1970’s who were all expected to marry young, own their own homes, build their own materials, and land steady jobs. All without the medical misdiagnosis and mental issues plaguing our society today.

    I got my taste of them internets about the same as you, Cody. Was 13 maybe even 14. I played games on a console and PC before, but no internet. I really started using the internet at the end of the 90s. So about 1997, was when I got into that hive of scum and villany. Boy the things I saw. Anyway... Kids today grow up emotionally stunted because they filter everything through the lens of their smartphones. Generally speaking what you said in this video, is what my best friend and me were discussing few months ago while playing some games online. And now you have 14 year old girls commiting self deletion because they didn't get enough likes under their instagram photos. True story.

      I did not engage in internet conversation until around 2000 - 2001, so I was a bit late jumping in. But even back then, there was plenty of stuff that kids shouldn’t have seen.
      This entire generation of 13 to 27 year olds grew up almost entirely on the internet. They bought into all the leftist propaganda, while some of their peers got further into the right wing.
      Gen Z embraces the pronoun garbage. Before that, nobody cared.

    It was always about control, schools make you dumber and hold you hostage simply out of spite for the exact country they represent. It's like you said, everyone only gets along as long as they go along now. And I'm also autistic so I most definitely understand what you said about defying authority. School rules out of fear, and so did my mom, so they can both eat shit. And I think what's most important is how this pretentious dictator attitude reflects leadership. If the attitude reflects lying, fear mongering, and makes spiteful leaders. Then there's no choice but to be opposed to them and be "evil" simply to function. But hey, that's more of a perspective than a label. Frankly, I'm not going to meet 99% of these people who spend all day online with anime profile pictures. Sounds like they need to grow a pair, and a sense of humor. We had that 10 years ago. Worked well enough then. The only thing that's changed is a number. People are the exact same. Now they just act edgy against the USA and men. Shows you what the real motivation was the whole time when they get the illusion of power.

      The spiteful ones who came before my time chose this fight. The only thing I can take responsibility for is respectfully disagreeing with the narrative and being an upstanding citizen. If that's not fair, I don't know what is. Empires and dictatorships eventually plant the ideas of rebellion by committing cruel and unreasonable attacks towards those they hate. In this video, what we're seeing is this crowd finally cannibalizing itself and collapsing from within due to their own spite. All it takes for evil to win is for good to do nothing, but in this case, doing nothing and essentially boring these people out is what's making us win. I've seen it especially in gaming as of late, people tearing themselves and others apart over big political propaganda games with boring and bland women and toddler ai writing in them is causing people to leave them on mass out of a sense of obligation. Little Timmy grew up. Maybe he's not all there yet, but he's finally got the right attitude. Better late than never.

      Well, this is why I stopped making videos. Entertainment is petty and selfish, and I'm not going to censor myself and talk in riddles so I don't seem too edgy for the 9 year olds who watch MP4 files on this farce of a website. RUclips is not a real place, and it's not my job. So it's rather liberating to be rid of it for the most part. I only hop in every so often because there's useful videos like these. Meanwhile everyone and their dog is playing mediocre drama games with women more see through than plastic wrap on the leftovers in my fridge and Spider-Man games that lost their heart after Activision lost theirs. Shattered dimensions is my favorite. Insomniac should take notes and get some better writers than dollar store uncharted. Plus they also made peter look like he's 14 and I never forgave them for that. The original model was better. Now insomniac is just doing exactly what Activision was doing with Spider-Man, but without any of the impact and heart or neat themes, setpieces, or artsyles that switched over the different games.
