As someone pointed it ot Zoro was recruited because how good a fighter he is. Everyone else has another job to do. Nami is the Navigator, Usopp the Sniper, Sanji the cook, Chopper the Doctor, Robin the Archeologist, Franky the Shipwright, Brook the Musician, and Jinbei the Helmsman. Zoro is the First Mate. or swordsman. His job is kicking ass and taking names. Technically he has to do his job the least frequently. OFC he is glad when he can do his job.
I remember having an immense crush on Shuraiya while watching this movie. one of the best One Pieve movies in my opinion and the song somehow fits the atmosphere perfectly

A couple years ago, I started watching and reading one piece solely because of this video. I think there are some other similar comments on here, so it's definitely not the first time it's been said, but I'd sincerely like to say thank you very much for a starting me on a series I love and which I never would have tried without this video. Best wishes.
PLEASE DO. PLEASE PLEASE DO. I know it's long, I know, the number of episodes is daunting, but it's amazing. The original Japanese voice acting is perfection; I know people who didn't care about some of the characters as they were reading the manga very much, until they heard the seiyuu. (Sanji is particularly iconic.) There's the usual filler and padding you get in shounen, but there is also an epic amount of action extension. (A single two-page spread from a recent chapter was filled out beautifully to an entire fight scene set to a shamisen piece.) Even with how long it is it absolutely blows by if you have the time to sit and watch for say 1-3 hours a night. There are no plot holes. The mangaka has an entire bookshelf full of binders/notebooks for EVERY CHARACTER to make sure he doesn't misremember anything. If you were ever a Naruto fan, and I say this as someone who had Naruto as my main beloved fandom from ~2002 until I started watching One Piece, imagine if Naruto stayed Good the whole way through. One Piece is everything.

He's good and kind and 1000% aware that he *is not as good as his crewmates* at what they do. He knows he can't navigate. He knows he can't fight the whole world completely by himself. He knows he's not a doctor. (He doesn't know he can't cook AT ALL but he knows his cook is 1000% better than him). One of his I Need This Crew Role Filled is musician because he understands that pirate crews need parties and *morale* . The villains are interesting, nuanced, and fleshed out. Arguably the worst, most inhuman, most evil character in the series has a tragic backstory but *it's not used as an excuse for his behavior* . It's used to illustrate that he still has some modicum of humanity, he still has emotions, and he has reasoning for his behavior, but it is NOT an excuse and Luffy doesn't magically befriend him. DO YOU WANT STRONG FEMALE CHARACTERS. BECAUSE OP HAS STRONG FEMALE CHARACTERS WITH PERSONALITY, STRONG POWERS, INTELLIGENCE AND AGENCY. There's still a strong damsel in distress component because ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ shounen, but none of them are completely swept aside or forgotten about. The writing is phenomenal. Things you didn't think were important, or thought were throwaway details, come back into stark plot relevance hundreds of episodes later. Multilingual puns abound. Names of characters, locations, and objects become significant several arcs down the line. THERE IS NO BEWILDERING SUDDEN POWER CREEP. The characters get stronger not because "oh you thought you defeated the strongest xyz in the world BUT SOMEONE STRONGER HAS BEEN HIDING IN THE SHADOWS MUAHAHA." No, there is in-world reasoning for why the characters have to get stronger: the further they travel into territory that HAS been charted before them, the more they learn that stronger things *already exist and have for decades or centuries* before they arrived. New crew members and allies *already know* about some things before the whole crew meets them. Straight up I haven't seen writing this good before in anime. Also prepare to fall in love with characters, laugh until you hurt, and literally sob IRL even if that's not something you usually do. Trust me. You will have heartbreak over tertiary characters and inanimate objects. I cannot possibly recommend OP enough.

I don’t know why but dead end adventure continues to be my favorite one piece film. Like Z comes close but something about dead end just hits. The fights are so clean and entertaining, the little interactions in the background are hilarious and let’s face it Shuraiya (pink haired dude) is the best non-canon character to ever grace the screen.
