No need for politics. We just need the right technology.
This new engine can get 80-95% of the fuel out of a person's life. This allows much lower costs than electrics (over 9- to 18 times lower) and all the IPCC goals can be met. Both sides of the debate (CO2) can have their goals met, if the stated goals are actually the real goals. Those who want a diverse energy base also have their desires. Those who want electricity only can use batteries with this engine and still beat the electric motor due to the benefits in drag reduction.
Many homes have Natural Gas connections. The engine can compress the gas or a small system can be sold for a house fill station. Range can be 1000's of miles for a natural gas vehicle due to 10-20 times range with the engine and vehicle combined. New trucks will get much better energy usage (efficiency) as well as potential zero emissions when needed.
My "plan" (technology) makes Pickens plan actually achievable. It allows us to run on Natural Gas, as well as liquid fuels (Diesel, gasoline, Ethanol, Alcohol or bio) as well as electricity when zero CO2 is of some claimed value.
If all Pickens wants is to have something that will work, then this engine is what he needs.

what engine? have a website for info? also saw a post about an airplane engine. I'm considering putting a deposit down on the raptor single engine aircraft that is under development now
