It’s morbidly fascinating how the Russians seem to decide their targets. I would bet they consider this a good hit, even if it didn’t take out a military target, it’s a hit on an active industrial site of some kind, they’re going for inflicting any kind of disruption to civilian life and morale, economic activity, infrastructure damage, that they can in an effort to force the populace to capitulate. They’re clearly not capable of waging a more complex form of warfare and lost the initiative in this war, but it’s striking how deeply they’ve failed to modernize over the past decade, be it in terms of what they’re producing but also in their command and how those assets are employed. Or in their case, the few modern and competent assets were squandered so they have to revert back to indiscriminately striking in the hopes of hitting something important and generally degrading the enemy’s resolve and ability to function as a society. Reminds me of the thinking by the US in Vietnam, that they’d wear the enemy down by a thousand cuts, but Vietnam fought for ideology, and a perspective of national liberation, Ukraine fights for their very survival as a people. Russia doesn’t seem to appreciate the scope of the inhuman task they chose, it’s consequences, or it’s cost to achieve.
I think it is kind of concerning that russia is acting proactively and that they've fixed their ISR kill chain though. They clearly have more than enough munitions to go around and are getting better at identifying targets by learning from ukrainian successes. Ukraine in turn needs to learn from Russia's EW tricks and innovate faster on their drone technology if they want to keep up with the targeting race - I think over time their advantage in this respect is actually slowly eroding, but developments like better IFF and hunter killer drones might give them an edge in the attrition war.
M270 has a distinct front it's square and has a slightly angled windshield and a flat grill and bumper and that didn't look like this at all and the second video could be anything I highly doubt that was a Himars the place didn't even look like it was used by the military more than likely for farming or repairing tractor you can even see some of them on the top left

It’s morbidly fascinating how the Russians seem to decide their targets. I would bet they consider this a good hit, even if it didn’t take out a military target, it’s a hit on an active industrial site of some kind, they’re going for inflicting any kind of disruption to civilian life and morale, economic activity, infrastructure damage, that they can in an effort to force the populace to capitulate. They’re clearly not capable of waging a more complex form of warfare and lost the initiative in this war, but it’s striking how deeply they’ve failed to modernize over the past decade, be it in terms of what they’re producing but also in their command and how those assets are employed. Or in their case, the few modern and competent assets were squandered so they have to revert back to indiscriminately striking in the hopes of hitting something important and generally degrading the enemy’s resolve and ability to function as a society.
Reminds me of the thinking by the US in Vietnam, that they’d wear the enemy down by a thousand cuts, but Vietnam fought for ideology, and a perspective of national liberation, Ukraine fights for their very survival as a people. Russia doesn’t seem to appreciate the scope of the inhuman task they chose, it’s consequences, or it’s cost to achieve.

I think it is kind of concerning that russia is acting proactively and that they've fixed their ISR kill chain though. They clearly have more than enough munitions to go around and are getting better at identifying targets by learning from ukrainian successes. Ukraine in turn needs to learn from Russia's EW tricks and innovate faster on their drone technology if they want to keep up with the targeting race - I think over time their advantage in this respect is actually slowly eroding, but developments like better IFF and hunter killer drones might give them an edge in the attrition war.

M270 has a distinct front it's square and has a slightly angled windshield and a flat grill and bumper and that didn't look like this at all and the second video could be anything I highly doubt that was a Himars the place didn't even look like it was used by the military more than likely for farming or repairing tractor you can even see some of them on the top left
