I adore this bag. It's simple and durable. I've had three of them since my first in 2001. Replaced for free one time after like eleven years on warranty. Some fabric was delaminating and a zipper came loose and I couldn't fix it. Second time because it was stolen out the back of my friend's car in a smash and grab while running an errand. Worse was an entire art portfolio for a project was in it. I adore these because they fit me well and are super comfortable, don't allow me to overpack and stand up even when I have a crash on my bike. I get other folks want something with lots of little organizer pockets, but they are never the right size for my stuff and I prefer to individually pack items/use small bags to subdivide if I even need to. In work mode, this will hold my fifteen inch laptop, My screen tablet, all cables, a jacket and my peripherals. Waterbottle outside the compartment. In play mode I can put a 3 liter water bladder, emergency shelter, an extra layer and shell and it stays out of my way and water proof in storms and bombing around on my bike(s). I love the Arro 22 but it is not for everyone, and especially not for people who want everything plus the kitchen sink. It is reliably my go to every day bag.
just bought this today at an outlet for 120 and i think that’s probably where the price should be set. now that it has a laptop sleep and two (i think) internal pockets in the main compartment, i think they’ve fixed some of the main issues most people have with the bag. i mainly bought it as a mix between big commuting and regular everyday carry, and i think it will fit the bill perfectly, especially with the super super lush shoulder straps.
I have owned this pack for years and your review is spot on. Water bottle holder is useless, more internal organization is a must and yes for the price you definitely expect more.
So I got the new revised version and it does a good job of organizing a laptop or tablet. I can fit either a 13 or 15” MacBook Pro. There’s a total of two sleeves and one small zippered pouch. I liked the original but the revised organization addresses my only gripes. Another small change is the outside doesn’t say/stitched arc teryx anymore, just the logo (smaller). The waist belt buckle is just black now without the logo on it.
Thanks for this video about the Arcteryx Arrow. Have had an Arcteryx Oca day pack for 20 years and has rendered many good services. Now looking for a worthy successor. You helped me make a decision. Best regards from Switzerland
Glad they added a laptop compartment to it, just bought it as my work bag as I'm a fan of the quick accessibility and minimal design. Great review, and thanks for reminding me of my Costco check (yours on the fridge, lol)! Subbed
Great review, agreeing on the laptop pocket. Was expecting it to be in but I'm glad you showed it. I'll go on looking for a good allround bag with a laptop sleeve. Cheers!
Great review, I have this and find my self using the Bellroy tech pouch and laptop case to bring the whole organization together for this bag. Yes quality is great but you have to invent ways to organize.
Thanks for your re&view of the arro 22, the organisation thing sucks cause the backpackorino design is about 20 years old. may they should build a version 2 of it.
I was wondering about this bag since it's on sale for $107.10...meh. I feel like this bag is designed differently, just for the sake of being different. I'll pass. As always, great video, George!
Hello! Great review! But i like this classic version than the new version in terms of quality and durability. Anyways, did you remove the hard plastic in the back area? or its better let it stay? ty.
Hey Marrngtn, Are you talking about Stripper Season? I have been tearing up the Crappie for the last couple of weeks. I don't know when I will get after the strippers maybe Monday. I'm going to Point Lookout, MD. How about you? See ya PEACE
Hey Hunter, Here is the link: www.amazon.com/dp/B0009RIQBE/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_00DVCb5RYC8JV It's really like a boo boo kit. Not for a serious emergencies. I like to keep my edc item weight down. See ya PEACE
unfortunately, without proper water bottle support and no inner compartments or compression straps it cant be my every day, then i cant use it anytime i love arc to death and own almost all their stuff , huge fan boy but this takes the big F for usually such a thoughtful company
The idea on slacking on the organizational pockets is purposeful to keep weight low, this bag isn't really for a laptop or phones it's for alpine use, I feel like you missed the purpose of what arcteryx gear is for.
Maybe I miss understood.. This is from their website..An Arc'teryx icon for nearly two decades, the redesigned Arro 22 Backpack maintains its distinct style with efficient, modern functionality. Internal organization manages daily essentials and includes a padded 15" laptop sleeve. A bladder compartment, hydration tube port and a tough kangaroo pocket with a WaterTight® zipper makes for an easy transition from urban commutes to day hikes. URBAN COMMUTES??

Sound promising but they need to send some semples to reviewers, because they didn't even post one pic inside this bag on website.

This definitely needs more organizational abilities.

That sounds like a description of an updated version with internal organisation and a laptop sleeve, which i heard exists
Good review! Meh bag

Hey J.M., I like the materials but there are some things missing. Thanks for the comment. See ya

Thanks for the correction 👍

Bro, this is the fake version of this backpack. You can tell by those zippers and the wet cover on seems.
It's genuine 😂
HAHA. Clueless
?
i don't like that front facing zipper, easy access for thieves
Good Point Beautiful..
