The phrase "didn't see that coming" isn't enough to express how shocked I was to see Icicle alive. Especially when he killed Tigress and Sportsmaster right after they learn that Artemis was going to be the first female quarterback of that college. Also, I swear the hourglass without its limiter is having a roid rage effect on Rick.
Holy shit that twist was mind-blowing, I don't know how on earth Jordan could have possibly survived getting ran over by that truck by Mike but Courtney, The JSA and everyone else needs to keep their eye on Mike because Jordan is a ruthless monster and I'm sure he won't hesitate to go after Mike the person that almost ended his life
It wasn't visible in this video, but the title on the movie marquee at the beginning was "The Lovers Die At Dusk". It made me dread the rest of the episode.
It fits Jordan's MO to take out any member of the ISA that veers from the path, like he did with The Wizard and his entire family. Gambler was doing just that, thereby he had to die. Starman was his and Ultra-Humanite, so that job was to point them in another direction. The Gambler's death wasn't enough to get everyone to work together, but the Crocks' will definitely do just that. From episode 1, Grundy not coming back represented Rick's ability to forgive someone who's hurt him and failing to bring him back was frustration for Rick. He put a lot of energy into trying to fix the hourglass in order to protect his family. When The 24 Hourglass was activated all his frustrations, anxiety and emotions were amplified and mixed together without any way to distinguish them, which is how we got the Rick we have now.
When the episode just started with those two and we continued to see a lot of them throughout the episode I just had that bad feeling that something was going to happen. So 😭
Wow! I am still in shock! I knew someone would die, but not both of them! Mike and Jakeem running from Ultra-Humanite and encountering Cindy, who was trying to trap Ultra-Humanite, was a great scene! Loved seeing Meg DeLacy again! Still hope her and Mike end up together. Rick still having anger issues because of overusing the hourglass is interesting. Pat warned him in the first season that this would happen! Courtney lying to Cameron about who killed Icicle was an emotional scene! I still think he will end up siding with Courtney! Tigress protecting Barbara from Cameron's grandmother and teaching her how to use a crossbow was a great scene! Loved their friendship so much. Mike and Jakeem telling Pat and Starman about what they encountered in the woods, and Starman and Pat later telling everyone who Ultra-Humanite is was a great scene! I had a feeling that this thing was a creation from Dragon King, but not in that way! Sportsmaster and Tigress visiting the Mahkents and convincing them to back down was a great scene! Sportsmaster always had great humor! Sportsmaster and Tigress finding out that Artemis was going to Nebraska was a scene that I knew was too perfect! I knew something was about to go down! Sportsmaster and Tigress following a trail of pamphlets into the sewer was an obvious trap! The shocking moment that stunned me, was when they were stabbed by a masked figure, who revealed himself to be Jordan Mahkent/Icicle! I knew the one watching them had to be either Icicle or Dragon King! They kept focusing on that sewer too much, and that was the same spot where Icicle died! I still think Dragon King could be alive! I cannot believe that they killed Larry and Paula! WHY!!! I really feel bad for Artemis! She is going to lose it. But knowing Barbara, she will take her in, and help her. Their house is getting full though! Great episode, but now I really hate Icicle! I have a feeling that Cameron will protect Courtney, and will have a huge fight with his father! Artemis may end up killing Icicle, or it will be Cameron. Starman will be coming for him also! It wouldn't surprise me if Icicle ends up killing his father also! I knew the actor for icicle was in atlanta on set where they were filming but i didnt know why so i didnt say anything plus john wesley shipp was in atlanta the same time they were still filming soooo am not sure if he went there🤷♂️

As soon as I heard all the happiness they reacted to Artemis I felt this chilling feeling down my spine as something bad would happen Because this show normally isn't that much happiness without consequences
I doubt Batman exists in this universe (Earth 2). My theory is, the Thunderbolt probably knows of Batman's existence on another Earth since he and Bat-Mite (and Mr. Mxyzptlk) all originate from The 5th Dimension.
once i saw true happiness i knew they were gonna die didnt expect it to be him who killed them. i always felt like he was alive you cant kill someone like him so easily.
im not surprised the crocks were in almost every scene leading to their tragic death also i was hoping Icicle was just going to freeze them so that way Courtney and the others would find them and thaw them out but nooooooo the writers wanted to take my 2 favorite characters in this show away from Artemis

Stargirl and Chucky, my two fave shows on TV currently have both upset me with deaths in the same week, the same night's TV? Characters we weren't sure we could trust but then figured, hell yeah we can, they're cool and then they get killed off? TV is not my friend this week that's for sure. :(
Another good episode. I agree that motivation is the key question. And are Jordan and the Ultra-Humanite actually working together? It's a shame that the Crocks had to die, especially after the last episode, but they did murder a lot of people and never suffered any real consequences. This is not a show where that could go on forever. Now that Courtney has said "The Ultra-Humanite is this season's Eclipso and we need to defeat him the same way we beat Eclipso in the finale of Season Two" I'm wondering if that means this season will go in a different direction.
I do think that they are working together. I believe the Gambler was killed by Jordan and the Ultra Humanite was there as just backup. Beth did mention that the Gambler was killed by something like a shiv or icicle shaped. I highly doubt that the ultra-humanite is walking around stabbing people
