Hey feel free to ignore this I just know some of the asmr community have really good advice! So my best friend 20F is a dog trainer and editor on the side. She's one of the most hardworking people I know, constantly covering shifts for other people, taking on other jobs, and always being there for everyone when they need it. Normally she had a good balance. Yeah she was always busy but she was happy, full of sarcastic quips and proud of what she did. But recently I'm kind of scared shes burning the candle at both ends. She got physically ill, and was STILL working while bed ridden. Shes been more quiet and she just doesnt have her usual spark. I tried talking to her about it but she just smiled and said "someone has to do it yeah?". Heck, today even after being sick she still went into her shift. I actually found this channel through her. Shes a sucker for a good fantasy story. But how do I help her? I cant force her obviously, shes her own person. By I'm genuinely worried about her health. Sorry about the off topic and long comment I'm just stumped and worried.
Dude I do the same thing as her. Honestly, as her bestie, just tell her you want her to take a break. Give her some good reasoning (Which you obviously have) and then make a plan to help. My mom has decided that every night we have to watch a fantasy show together because I am also really into fantasy. It helps me relax, calm down, and even if we miss a few nights just knowing she wants me to stop working helps. As her why the work matters too, try to figure out if it's because she's afraid of failing, or if she's trying to keep her mind off something else (Both reasons why I work myself half to death hehe) But also, just keep being an amazing friend! You sound like you're already working hard to make sure she's okay. I hope my advice can help in some way or give you some ideas or things to think about!
