Forex scalping is one of the main trading styles in the Forex market, along with day trading, swing trading and position trading.
The main difference between scalping and the other trading styles is the trading timeframe and holding period of trades. Scalping is an extremely short-term and fast-paced trading style, where traders hold trades for a few seconds to a few minutes. In order to find such short-term trading opportunities, scalpers have to rely on very short timeframes, such as the 1-minute and 5-minute ones.
Many impulsive traders feel attracted to scalping, especially those who aren’t patient enough to wait for days for a trade to form on higher timeframes. Unfortunately, beginners often fall into this group of traders and start scalping the market, unaware of the risks that scalping carries.
Scalping isn’t easy. In fact, if you want to scalp the market successfully, you need to be an experienced trader. I usually recommend becoming consistently profitable with a day trading or swing trading technique before you move on to scalping.
Longer-term trading styles provide you enough room to analyse the market and avoid impulsive trades. You can look for trade setups from a safe distance when swing trading the market. Even if your analysis proves wrong, you can close a longer-term trade before it starts to make a large damage to your trading account.

if above 200, look for long
if below 200, look for shorts
look for bounce off MA or Resistance zones
wait for structure to be formed
if rsi is below 50% look for sells, if above, look for buys

enter when candle closes
only enter when price is making big moves not consolidation

I'm watching a lot of your videos and also other videos in general. I feel day trading, especially in the form of scalping, is "my style of choice". what's still unclear, after one year of "trading"(atm read it more as "donating money" XD) and after watching webinars and videos is how to handle spread in the RRR.
I will try to briefly explain what I mean for the sake of clarity:
the candles confirm the entry. I open the position as soon as the new candle opens. with my broker i have 16points(1.6 pips) spread. If i set the S/L at just 25 points(2.5 pips) a move of 9 points will trigger it. this means that, ideally, i will have to put the stop not less than 41 points away from my entry. To trigger my T/P, tho, I will need a 66 points movement to trigger it at 50 points, or set it at 34 points if I choose to trigger it at a 50 points movement, which will make my RRR unfavourable since i risk 41 points to take 34.
The answer could just be "That's exactly why I told you to go with the trend and check its momentum", but still, while testing, I got stopped many times and/or didn't reach the target (and eventually got stopped afterwards) just because of this "issue".

I feel like this would work best with a trailing stop loss, that away you dont miss anything that might happen but if there is a reversal it wont effect you I am in love with this and i cant wait to start paper trading it.

Hey Arty. Watched a bunch of your videos and there's still some things that confuse me. Do you draw SnR levels based off the 4h or do you always start on the 1h?. Also I was taught in the past to follow the trend off the bigger time frame. So I would use the 1h and trade off the 5m for scalping. Am I supposed to be doing that or do I just stick to the trend on the 5m that the 200ma is showing me?

hey thanks for the video! I had my head around a problem for a long time. does the fees doesn't rip off all your profit? I mean, when I try in Tradingview paper account, just to check, whenever I do a move like you and I win, the "comissions" (fake, just to simulate) rip off my balance; so even though I won, I will have losses due to comissions. How do you overcome this? or is there anything I'm missing? many thanks, any help is really appreciated

Just a tip to anyone who my have the same issue i have when trying to get the engulfing candles to show.... I usually use Heikin Ashi Candles, they wont show up on that. Need to switch to normal candles. Trade on folks!

Good video , definitely not for the newbie trader ,even seasoned guys get burned on this type of trading , but also you can do extremely well.. I use alignment , 1 minute, 15 minute and daily , and if all are in alignment with my EMA for trend , I only go that way . I also like the trend lines on higher time frame to define my scalps .

Hi, I love your videos and have been binge watching them but I have a question about broker fees. I would love to do this scalping strategy and get 5 PIPs a scalp but the broker I use charges $0.20 for every 0.01 lot size. I can't do this strategy unless I'm at least getting 25 PIPs after the commission fee in order to just profit 5 PIPs. Do you use a broker that charges no commission fees or something?

Looks like it works well in a trend, like any strategy. Consolidation is the trick.

@@TheMovingAverage How do you identify consolidation before it happens. Very easy to spot after the fact.
It’s quite simple actually. If the market structure fails to make a lower low or a higher low odd are after a big move the price will begin to consolidate.

Spreads pisses me off a lot in scalping, like maybe half or even 3/4ths of my losses were due to spread. But my wins are a lot more tho, spread is the no.1 enemy of scalpers.
