  • Red Deer Stag made of cutlery & scrap
Part 1 of an epic new piece. It will be made in the style of my Pegasus, so muscle groups and form suggested with spoons and empty space showing hints of mechanical operation.
Largely a video about my inspiration for this and some shared thought processes about how I put something like this together.

Great to get an insight to your thought process - I love the idea of going back to first principles to get the anatomy correct, then clad it with muscle groups - I think it's going to turn out amazing!
And YES, you should accept the BBC offer - not only will it give you more exposure, but it will connect you to like-minded artisans and cross-fertilise ideas. Good luck!

I seem to have missed this one when first posted John.
Love to hear how your mind gets right into the 'bones' of how the animal 'works' this ultimately make for a realistic end result. Great news on the BBC exposure, couldn't happen to a more enthusiastic & nicer guy, wishing you well .. 🛠🔧

👍 Looks like you're making a creature from Horizon Zero Dawn. Way cool man. Nice trip. EXPOSURE... hell yeah, do the show! If it sucks doing it, just bear it and keep in mind the exposure. Hope it works out, let us know when to watch if it does.

Considering the only way I found your work was through Kris Harbour, I think it couldn't hurt looking to the BBC as a possible way to boost that exposure.

Cool project. Would it be possible to run a sharpie marker over those sketches of yours? Kind of hard to see on camera. Super cool project. I am excited to see it develop further.;😊

Hi practical John. I'm sorry I was obtuse. I'm Tony's mate Glynn. I was the youngest person to qualify from the British school of falconry and id love to talk ornithology with you tomorrow and I'll pay you whatever you want to make me a perigrine falcon I can give to my parents at Xmas. Thanks so much and sorry again mate xxxx
