I'm not sure about Jersey, but definitely hit up Philly Bikesmith in center city... They're super knowledgeable, have a great selection of brands in stock (Kona, Giant, Specialized) and will hook you up with the right bike.
@@powerstroke2504 there are deals to be had with no taxes in Delaware for sure. I'm partial to buying a bike from a convenient, local shop, especially for a first timer... cuz you know you're gonna need support when you need adjustments and end up breaking stuff.
I live right near here and bike near Ramsey's farm all the time, but have never been on or even seen the trail in the first part of the video. I'd love to go ride them, but couldn't figure our how to get there, suggestions?
Mate I just started riding and I'm on these exact trails I live pretty close do you have any tips on how to take jumps I always get pretty scared and just slow down and let my front wheel hit the ground before my back wheel comes off any tips on getting comfortable in the air ? It was so cool seeing the trails I've run primarily for the past 2 years on screen!
There are a ton of videos on jump and drop technique on youtube which are super helpful. Ultimately, practice and progression is the best way. Start by sessioning a smaller jump until you feel comfortable, then go a little bigger and repeat the process. The more you practice them, the more comfortable you'll feel
For me it's about knowing when to load/unload weight, it's a physics exercise which is why mountain biking specifically is so amazing. Physical and mental. :)
I think if you park in the main lot you have to pay an entrance fee, but there are better and free places to park. I've edited the description of the video to include the three places I park when I go there. I definitely recommend checking it out, it deserves at least a few rides a year from anybody in the area...
I recommend the hotel off 202, come on a Monday night @6 pm and there are tons of groups varying age levels and abilities heading out for 8-12 in Brandywine and the surrounding private lands, local rider here...
Can’t believe there’s that many features in a state park! Gotta make the drive down from Doylestown soon
Where do you recommend a 100% total noob to go if he wanted to buy a beginner bike in the philly-south jersey area?

Here's the trail head at the bottom of the trail. It's part of the rocky run loop
