No matter how many times I play outlast i never saw Billy as a bad guy just a person forced to be the host of the walrider and maybe even he wasn't in control of the walrider sometimes. And the way he was hooked up to the engine with tubs and needles is just scary and so sad to see him.
I never would've guessed he'd have this much backstory. Also I hope we get a follow up on Miles when Outlast 3 comes out since he still has most of the Wallrider inside of him
I'm not sure if we'll get Miles back or not. I haven't done much looking into Trials other then just watching the trailer, but I thought I read somewhere that it was supposedly taking place in Mount Massive back when it was initially open and they were working on MKUltra. I'd definitely like to know what happened though, supposedly Red Barrels tweeted out that he was dead at one point but deleted it later.

outlast is set in the Cold War era long before the events of outlast or outlast 2 so the chances of a follow up on the events of the first 2 games are very slim but there could be a reference that is out in as an Easter egg but there wouldn’t be any link in the games story seeing that the events of the first 2 games haven’t occurred yet. My guess is the the wallrider would have died/shutdown because miles was shot by murkoff soldiers/gaurds so miles would have died and soon after the wall rider because there wouldn’t be any host in control after miles died
Maybe because billy saw miles as someone who could end his pain or maybe a way out of mount massive asylum if the walrider was still alive billy would still live 🤔

Why does he have certain things that make him look human since he feels regret and some fear? Also, Murkoff told him that he was going to get something special but he didn't tell him exactly what his plans were with him or he only volunteered and if Billy was a lunatic whyMurkoff would use them for his experiments to

In the comics, He had come back to his mom, who he warmly greeted, so it suggests they had a decent relationship, But not a mutually loving one, As his mom did sell him off to the asylum for a large sum of money...and the btch used it to buy expensive crystal Figurines, She definitely deserved what got to her
