I really love this scene especially when at 3:11, Sally hesitates for a moment and when she looks at Jack's tower, she ultimate decides she wants to be with him and no longer be confined by Dr. Finkelstein who always kept her under lock and key. And when she delivers the gift basket to Jack, I can see the sparks fly between the two of them as Sally's kindness, not just her beauty, was one of the reasons Jack fell in love with Sally.
I love that moment too and morbid as it is I love the double meaning because if she was alive that jump would kill her so it looks like she is dying for him, which makes the image ust so the mood of this whole movie.
Always loved when she smiles as she pulls her arm back together, I like how they animated so much optimism and excitement into her actions and expressions
It doesn't have to be family love when it comes to Christmas just like how it doesn't have to be romantic love for Valentine's day, all gifts comes from the thought and love that was put into the gift
Yes he sees her as his greatest creation he ever created because of this he keeps her locked up. He believes he owns her like a possessive parent. So her leaving him is even more powerful.
I still don't know what he dipped the candy cane in 😂 He charged the cup with electricity... the candy cane melted (kinda) when he put it in... what is in the cup?! 😂
Given how smart some naughty kids are, I'm looking at you Bart Simpson, I don't think it'd be a good idea to give them a book about performing scientific experiments.
@@kyndrablankenship1758 I get your point but a book about the scientific method is probably a lot less about teaching people to use scientific equipment and a lot more about how to do a proper experiment (i.e. how to write a hypothesis, the necessity of control groups, how to determine sources of error, etc) and as someone who just took a university class that was essentially nothing but that I would absolutely consider it a punishment.
Not all poisons would necessarily kill you. Some would only knock you out for several hours. Plus, depending on your body chemistry, certain poisons would probably affect you differently than others.
I remember thinking she really did kill herself at first at 3:20 when watching this for the 1st time as a kid many years ago lol. Strangely beautiful. such a masterpiece movie
You know, when i was a kid I kept thinking what did Sally give him? we’re they gifts? was it something to help him out? Pretty sure they were gifts now that I think about.
I think she gave him food actually, she seems to understand that whatever he's doing at the moment, he's so obsessed that he forgets to eat, so she brought him a little something to eat. Like the fishbone, since he's a squeleton, and then some drink. So she made him lunch. ^^
So did anybody notice when Sally stitched her arm back on it was the same sort of motions that a junkie would make as they shoot up? The way she walks after getting up is just the icing on the cake. Every detail in animation is deliberate, and most is rife with double meaning and subliminal messages.
I read on Internet, Sally was supposed to limp like this but they finally didn't do it because when they animated it, it gave the impression she was drunk
It's probably because she was a bit less stuffed, as her insides seems to be stuffed with leaves, and she doesn't bother to put them back inside her, so she is probably a bit more weightless, hence her walking a bit unusually.
When he picked up the hollyberry with the twisters did you hear a small ballet Dancy elevating piece of music what would that piece of music be called cause I feel like I heard it in other soundtracks of other films
Why did the jazz people look away when Sally hit the ground.. she's literally a rag doll! She can't feel pain. She can literally fix herself. I always said that anytime I rewatch the movie
Actually, people in Halloween Town kinda do feel pain. Remember when Sally accidentally poked Jack with a needle and he said "ow?" Yet Jack and Sally are fine when they're disassembled. It must be whether or not it's natural to them or not 😅
1:35 that little part of the music that sounds very ballet Dancy elevating dazzling sound that makes you wanna dance in midair what's that called cause it sounds like I heard it in many soundtracks of other movies but I can't exactly remember?

So I was watching the movie, and I got to the spider snowflake and decided to come to RUclips so I could try to copy what Jack does and make it myself…. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t work that way lmao
I love how he's not even upset at the paper art experiment going wrong, he's just really confused lol
That double take though
It defies every logic rules
Out of curiosity, how was that even an experiment? In my case: I think he was just trying it out for himself.
Which he should be because it looked like he did it right.
Interesting reaction but what does *it* mean?

Sally did the same in the beginning of the movie.

3:50 I just love sweetly she puts the needle in her hair
That's very clever for a girl.
No, no jack, take the liquid from the Holly berry and put that under the microscope- you can't just put a whole ass berry
Jack: I learned that fast... 😅
Well, it's his first time science-ing. Cut him some slack.

Sally gave Jack the stuff for experiments and she did it with love.
It's more like she knows that when he gets lost in a project he forgets to eat. It's her way of caring for him however she can.

Not all poisons would necessarily kill you. Some would only knock you out for several hours. Plus, depending on your body chemistry, certain poisons would probably affect you differently than others.
With the amount of times she snuck Deadly Night Shade into his stuff, shouldn't he be able to develop antibodies and gain immunity from it?
