      Haha both bikes are amazing! I owned a 300xc for 3 years and loved it! I'm planning to buy the husqvarna fx350 next. Right now I'm riding a yz250x

    Crazy, I much prefer the extra feel you get with the Brembos vs the on/off feel of the Yammy. The rear brake is a wash for me, don't really find a big difference, both have wicked rears, but the front brake is so much nicer on the KTM, way more feel.

      @utmx  Год назад +1

      Yes the ktm front break I loooove! It's just the rear break. I like the snappy bite of the fx rear break. I slide around burms and turns and I'm just so much faster and more comfortable power sliding with the breaks on my fx. But the front break its to snappy haha if you grab a handful on the fx your going down!

      @@utmx Makes sense! I ride more hard enduro, so being able to feather that back brake when going down steep hills is really nice, sometimes it takes the lightest touch to avoid locking up.

    Thing about my 21 FX that I LOVE is I can take it in the woods on the 18 lug around in 2nd creep in 1st. Next weekend change my maps to a keefer free feeling slap my 19 rear on and rip on the MX track 🤘🏽. Unless you’re racing A class or pro mx bikes awesome at it given what it was built for.

      Yes that's a great thing about the fx! It can do it all!

    I had both 22 tpi and a 22 yz250fx at the same time. My .2 cents, after flywheel, throttle cam, hydraulic clutch and suspension tuning on the 22 250 Fx, I would never to back to any 2t. I tried the wine and cheese bikes before and after, felt buzzy and have poor range in comparison (I ride from my house, range is important). The Yamaha kyb suspension is easily de-valved to be identical to the wp. Tpi/tbi are both fun, but do the same setup on a yz and you have a quality bike thats ready for any terrain and will last Forever. My 250fx is less exhausting at any speed than the 2t bikes I have owned or used. Didn't Yamaha upgrade the brakes on the 250fx recently? My yzfx brakes feel loads better than the brake tec junk on my 22 huskavarna.

      @utmx  Год назад +1

      Awesome imput! I'd love to do all of those upgrades! That would make the fx a clear winner! I love both bikes! I'm not sure when they did the breaks but they are perfection! And the suspension is so much better than the air fork on my ktm! Stock bike to stock bike I choose my 300. But with the mentioned upgrades that's a different story haha

    • @MiddlePark

      @@utmx I agree stock for stock. The tpi is much more comfortable and enjoyable on the rough trails. Once you add a hydro clutch, suspension work, tool-less clickers and cnc triples like most of the tpi/tbi bikes already have, the price is about the same, maybe a bit more for the yz.
      The heavy flywheel on a yzfx makes a Huge difference in how well it can lugg up a mountain, completely transformed the engines low end capabilities for the better.

      @@MR.TOYBOX I caved and bought a 23 250xc to see for myself. I made the same mistake and bought this sketchy brand again.. It has 10 minutes on it and a cel light is flashing. I'm not the only one experiencing problems with tbi at this time.
      Other example, a 23 300 tbi failed on video and was uploaded here on yt (west coast/pnw chan), "100 hours fi failure". Others experience a problem relating to the power valve programing, many are needing or have already gotten the patch update.
      I wonder how much it will cost to have my new 23 250xc with not even 10 minutes run time fixxed? Any bets? $200.00 $500.00? It's a brand new broken down ktm. Ktm's technicians are horrendous, not looking forward to handing my new 250xc over to ktms kid techs who trash everything they touch. Why I cannot bring them just the computer box for update and not the whole bike is beyond me..

    Which one has less maintenance?

    • @utmx
      @utmx  Год назад

      Both bikes are fairly simple. Change oil and clean air filter. The ktm did require a ccp sensor change but that was only $40. Other than that I do the same maintenance on both bikes at the same time.
