I am glad I wasn't the only one that had issues with the guards when fading. The flatness of the guards and the long teeth made it difficult. I couldn't gauge how high I was going because of the long teeth. I like using the SC guards to take down the bulk, especially using the guards with the Wahl fade blade. I prefer using the Wahl and Baybliss guards for fading.
Yeah even though I saw a lot of creators talk about how amazing the guards are I realized some people really don’t like them haha. I actually didn’t think about using the SC guards to take our bulk instead, I’ll definitely have to give it a shot! Appreciate your feedback!
Wow! I actually have never heard of this issue happening. I would send them an email explaining the issue to see what can be done. I had an issue with my power switch and they were very quick to help me and send me the replacement part. Let me know how it goes if you end up going with this option! I’m curious as to what may be causing the issue.
Nice job 👍 I like my rebels and the dub magnet guards that come with them... I just had to replace my sprig because it broke and my rebels were getting to loud...
I have the Alpha 2.0 which for me is a detail clipper due to the blade one side has a fade master blade and the lever side is a bit smaller for taking out lines
Whats odd I went through the same thing with my stylcraft instincts it came with the magnetic guards I was getting a harsh finish. Then I switch to my babyliss fx Lo pro it was smooth finish. But I use the stylcraft tight guards then I got good results on all my clippers.
Personally, I’ve never had this issue with the Rebels. What I would recommend as the first option would be to take off the blade and deep clean the clipper, and to oil it once you put it back together. Let me know if that fixes the issue!
I have these at home and I love them I cut my son and I hair every week I would have went with the low pros but I refuse to pay 400 plus and they don’t come with a battery or charging stand
I have a corded wahl magic clip and it feels slower than I've seen this one goes. The weight? I was hoping lighter than a magic clip, lol. Who wouldn't? Thank you for doing this. More info I get, the better.
I have the corded 5* Seniors, and 2 magic clips but I gotta say, my personal preference would be to have: 1 Rebel/Boosted 1 Cordless Magic Clip 1 Corded 5* Seniors You can leave the Seniors out if you want to go full cordless.
I came from the wahl seniors, the rebel is way better. I stil use the wahl guards, but for debulk the style craft are better and for taking out lines use the wahl guards .5 , 1, 1.5, and 2.
It doesn’t happen on mine, but I have seen it a lot on other rebels. I’ve had friends return theirs due to this issue; seems like it’s a manufacturing problem. That being said, I know people that use their rebel regardless of this issue and they have no problems whatsoever. It all depends on how much the blade is moving- if it’s just a little bit you should be fine. Cause you’re never putting that type of pressure or force in the blade even you’re cutting anyways. Hoops that helps!
I can't get behind this. I'm very happy with my Rebels . I only use the 5 and 6 SC guards and use guards from a different makers for the rest. The blade itself is amazing. They have good power and the battery last
Thanks for your input bro! The rebels have been my go to clipper for months now! Love how the cut, the guards just don’t do it for me. I’m curious though, what other guard brands do you use?
Hey man, thanks for your comment! What I would do is 1) deep clean your clipper using either andis blade care, or by taking the blade off and brushing out any hairs that’s accumulated in the clipper over time 2) oil your clipper regularly I’ve had this happen a couple of times with different clippers over the years and the above always fixed it. It’s important to keep clippers clean and lubricated at all times to make sure they’re working as intended. Let me know how it goes!!
This snagging hair issue has put me off buying these clippers. I have had this issue in the past with clippers and I have sent them back, I can’t be bothered with the hassle. I might buy the calibre bmg.
@@Media-oh8xcI got the caliber 50 cal limited edition and hate that clipper. There’s zero feedback in feel when cutting with it and no crunch sound at all, sucks with bulk too. Maybe the big is better but like I with the rebels, I’m never buying another caliber clipper again. Their customer service sucks too.
I am just starting and I wanted to ask which clipper should I buy ? I deciding between frsh fade JRL 2020c , Babyliss low pro and Stylecraft rebel. I heard a lot of people that complain about the switch click and about the guards of rebel. So which would you recommend?
While there have been slight problems with the switch (StyleCraft sends you a new one if that happens), and I don’t LOVE the guards myself; I would say it’s the best choice. For the price, you’re getting premium guards (which you would otherwise have to pay separately to buy with other clipper companies), you also get a charging stand, multiple colour options, and the option to put a stretch bracket on the clipper. I love the LoPro as well and have both on my station, but the rebel is the clipper I keep going back to for majority of my haircuts. It’s a great all around clipper that can get anything done. If I had to pick one clipper to do a whole haircut with it would be the rebel. Let me know if you have any other questions!
I have the jrl onyx, the new matte black babyliss lithium fx, rebel, caliber 50 cal limited edition and my favorite is my jrl and the rebel coming in a close second. I put the 3versince ceramic staggertooth cutting blade with the jrl taper blade on the onys and it pumps out the softest fades I’ve ever done. But on the rebels I like the way the motor feels in my hands and how lightweight it is. My least favorite is the caliber, I put a super thin fade blade on it that I grinded down to make thinner to take out bald lines and and to give me another transition from trimmer line to clipper closed line.
I forgot to mention that in order to take advantage of the functionality of the stretch bracket you have to switch to the floating lever(pink one in the box). Great observation !
Thanks for your question! In my answer I might be a little bit biased but I would go with the Magic; and here is why: While the senior and rebel have much better power and are faster clippers (which helps with bulk and cutting faster for barbers), this makes them a little bit harder to learn on. My first clipper was a magic and I absolutely love the way it cuts. I no longer use it just because I like to cut with faster clippers; but if you are just doing tapers on yourself the slower clipper and staggered blade will be very useful. This is my personal opinion and if anyone has other points please reply and add to it! The magic is also going to be the best choice price-wise since you are just starting! Let me know if you have any other questions!

Good to know!
The go-to clipper! Just got my sabers in and dropping a review soon! Dangerous combination 👀
I agree about the guards, so I just used my wahl premiums, problem solved.
Did you dislike them for the same reason? Or something else?
I like the stylecraft double magnet guards.
Which guards can be used at the Rebel?
Just bought these 2 months ago and now it doesn’t hold as charge. Dies within 1 minute of keeping it charged on the dock 🤦🏻♂️

I absolutely love my rebels!. I have always used the wahl premium guards.
Still my go to clippers! And as with the wahl guards, there’s a reason they’ve been a classic for so long!

mine broke seems the lever screw wont unscrew tighten or loosen it just moves left or right.I love them clippers!
These sometimes be pulling people hair, like certain people hair when I try to fade with it, do u know why?

@@ramtincutz it did help, thank you !!
I totally agree.
Thanks for the feedback bro!
Hello, do u recommend the rebels more then the insincts? Thanks
To be honest I haven’t tried the instincts yet so I wouldn’t be able to answer that, would love to try them soon tho!
@@ramtincutz okay. I see the rebel got a faper blade ? When i Look where else it has a fusion blade.
