@Luka Kirasić honey just watch some omen lore on youtube, you'll get what he meant. The one that you really want to look after in the lore is actually astra. When there's still a lot of thing that needs to be unpacked about her and i think she's gonna be a main part in the endgame (i think)
Yoru is a dimensional traveler and omen is a GODLY monster I think his lore just got interesting to be fair and with Yoru hidings the truth behind Radiants

her abilities are like killjoys as in she can set them up so, assuming her c is her stun which she can place anywhere on the map, q would be her smokes which again placed anywhere on map, e is her gravity changer which pulls people in and drags them and her ult is a HUGE wall the covers one whole side of the map which I assume does some vision distortion

First one looks like some sort of deployable stun, she appears to have smokes that can be activated from a distance similar to cypher, and some sort of black hole that pulls people to its center when close to it I guess.

Every-time a new character comes out, Riot does such a good job of showing them off, that they get called overpowered every-time in the comments. This is the same thing that happened with Yoru and he’s one of the worst legends.

Of course people have their expectations when a new agent arrives, but honestly, power creeping seems still to be very new to Riot. I give this game maximum 2 years before agents like Sova and Phoenix will be "bad" alternatives compared to the other new ones.

@@IgorNetoAnimation nop not really imo Phoenix's kit is simple but very effective. 2 flashes, a wall and a moli, last 2 heal and ulti is extremely useful in all situations. In the case of Sova I'm not saying he's bad but his sonar arrow is easy to deal with, his shock arrows are hard to use and drone leaves him vulnerable. Ult is quite nice if you use it properly but you'll always need info for it to work whereas Phoenix's is just much more flexible. It just seems obvious to me that info gathering will become more effective as new agents with better info gathering come out. It always come around to skillcap anyway and since Phoenix is easier to use and get use to I feel like he won't fall off as hard.
Yeah you're right lol, astra is really hard to use, her gravity well and concussion need information before attacking, her ult is also not as flexible as vipers wall. Her smokes are the only consistent thing lol

I love playing Astra, she's my main and I've never seen a character like her in any other shooter. The potential for galaxy brain plays is so high when your utility is independent of your position.

- She can place 'stars' around the map in her 'Astral form' (sort of like Omen's vision while smoking)
- The stars can either be a gravity well, a concussion bomb, or a smoke that she can detonate
- Her ult is a huge wall that both reduces sound and is bullet-proof

All abilities can be placed using the omen style xray vision anywhere within range. They are then activated by pressing a button (similar to killjoy mollies or viper smokes).
1st ability is a stun. It charges and then detonates shortly after.
2nd ability is a gravity well that sucks in enemies. It detonates after and makes enemies vulnerable.
3rd ability is a smoke.
All three abilities can be selected from at each point placed from the xray. (Any point can be any of the 3 abilities). The points can also be retrieved.
Ultimate is a wall that goes accross the entire map. Enemies cannot see across this wall and audio is very reduced/ distorted on the other side. It lasts until she dies and can be placed by selecting 2 points on the map as anchors.
She also stole thanos' gauntlet from the looks of it.

I don’t think it lasts the entire round but I could be wrong, I’ve seen clips of it going down after like 20 seconds or something or maybe it’s infinite until she dies like the viper ult.

I know it's a joke but phoenix, jett and omen are also basically wizards right? and reyna is a vampire. the game plays in a sci fi / fantasy universe so this is fine I guess
Not really advanced gadgets while some of the character have literal elemental powers
I find the valorant trailers really interesting. You can tell they are all made directly by gamers who play the game, very little of the time is for lore or building emotion, almost all screen time is focused on the extreme competitive gameplay - there isn’t a slowmo or spray and pray, it’s all precise shots, no standing around looking pretty, everyone’s doing something. It’s hard to explain, but even the music used in the trailers make them so fast paced and kinda make it clear that it’s a competitive game built for competitive, not casual play
