Their sound was out of this world, i don't understand why Pharrell n Chad decided to go separate ways, thez days pharrell can't create good music because Chad is missing from the equation
I remember I heard this for the first time as a little kid at my cousin's house in South Carolina. BET was debuting the music video and once it started I was mesmerized. Personally to me the best Neptune's track in their catalog.
This is another fire track from them. They blow my mind with the sounds theyve produced. Sometimes ill be singing one my fave classic songs and then I'll start diggin on the beat and then I'll realize based of the sounds and arrangement and then it'll dawn on me that its a Neptunes beat!
Funny thing about this is they did this for The King 👑 of Pop MJ first but he turned it down and blessed the Prince of pop in Usher. Classic beat by 'Neptunes' always loved this beat specifically Always been my favorite Usher song
imo Pharrell alone most of the time always sounded like it was missing something. I remember getting his solo album and wondering how much better it would’ve been if it was just a Neptunes album. Pharrell’s solo sound doesn’t sound “aggressive” enough , i’m not sure if that’s the right word but yeah. He can also get stuck making the same sounding type of beats as that’s where i think Chad came in and brought in the weird sounds and melodie’s.

@Official D.S.G Dolo from a producer standpoint, yes it is basic. Didn't say it was bad. But it needed somebody like usher to take it to the next level. If this beat went to wrong person, it would not have been successful
@Official D.S.G Dolo the artist makes the song. It's just the truth. The right artist can make a good beat sound AMAZING. To be as successful as it was, it needed usher. And it takes good producer to KNOW what artist would sound good on it. Let's just pretend u don't have to call didn't exist, and you just heard this beat by itself. Yeah it's cool, but usher brings the wow factor. He took it to another level. And I don't think MJ would've killed it as good as usher did. This beat wasn't really MJs style.
If you ever wanna talk to me Just call Im just doing my thang cause I must ball Im just being myself and Not yall Im hooked to the beat and i cant Withdrawal

@@vicetube there is an issue with the Neptune’s. I love their Melodie’s, their bridges but the sounds are too cheap compared to what Michael Jackson is able to deliver with his voice.

Pharrell solo production sounds different without Chad.
I definitely agree 💯

I was thinking the same thing. A lot of pharell solo produced tracks especially the ones for ariana grande are missing that neptunes magic.
