people dont realize - the dillas, pete rocks, kev browns, damus etc. of the world are the Mozarts and Beethovens of today. beat making is more than just the playing of an instrument (sampler), it is composing music.

yo, I went on google, typed in best hip-hop producers, and the first thing that popped up were these 5 guys that I have NEVER EVEN HEARD OF BEOFRE. I researched their work, and it turns out that they were working with people like 2 chainz, Drake, rick rock, Jeezy, etc. Obviously the major record labels are catering to ignorance and bull shit, it wasn't always like that though... In the mainstream, we have Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore, Eminem who hold it down, but none of THEIR producers were mentioned. WE must raise awareness! Real hip-hop will be here FOREVER. Wackness starts high but ALWAYS FADES.

sry but thats not true.....just that you understand, im very very much into hiphop, actually i only listen to hiphop. I really like that beat, but actually you will never have the chance to deliver the same feelings with electronical music like you are able with an instrument or your voice. you cant compare those artists with mozart and beethoven, cause for one track they need mostly few hours, whereas mozart and beethoven needed at least few weeks.

sorry but making beats with samples isnt actually composing because you dont write pianosheets and shit. moreover mozart and beethoven had not this incredible big choice of intruments and other stuff and it took them much longer to make their music and shit. they made something big out of a small thing(piano), producers do the contrary.

i get wot your sayin, but the nature of hip hop production is sampling and taking influences from old records and genres, so they would probably work their magic through sampling.
No, the musicians of the day are the Beethovens and Mozarts of the day lol, but to each their own I guess. You gotta think of who the next generations are going to sample......

It's generally true what you are saying. But just two things: First of all, not all beats made with samples are made in a minute, it can take many more weeks than you can imagine. Secondly, the thing about sampling is that in many cases, it can't be replaced by playing the actual instruments involved. It all comes down to how you do it.
