Thank you so much Jim for this video. It has some excellent tips and shows what can be achieved by this new tool. And to think this is only one of the new tools.
Really useful tips, Jim. The AI for the water detection is most impressive! When I first heard about this tool, I thought it could soften/blur the water too. But of course you can do this with the Blur tool. You could mention this in a future video, as the Blur tool is relatively new and some people may not know about it.
Looks good Jim. Grea tutorial as usual. Unfortunately, Water Enhancer doesn't pick up water on any of my photos with water. I've already cleaned out LN19 and reloaded. Still the same problem. And Mask AI doesn't work either.
Thanks Jim; Really looking forward to this... especially with all the beachfront here... I spend hours editing where the water comes onto sand or against rock jettys.
Hey Jim, Banff is literally a 4-hour drive from me. I noticed you didn't use the Contrast or Depth sliders, how come? Did you figure out what they do? It took me a bit of playing but I think I got it. More or increased contrast gives you more and deeper color saturation. Less contrast makes it softer. Depth, which is in the refinement tab I noticed that taking it to the right took the effect away from the dark areas in the water, making it a bit more realistic looking. Depth would have worked on the mountain scene with the reflection, no need for the color tool.
Thanks Darlene and I would go every week if I lived that close! I don't see how you can get anything done. I would just want to go see the mountains and scenery all the time.
@@JimNix Well a slight deterrent is that hotels are $$$$ in Banff and area so there's that LOL. I'd go broke if I was there every weekend. Even the camp grounds are booked a year in advance too.
Very nice. I typically only use Adobe LR and Photoshop because I only edit my images as smart objects, but you have influenced me to re-subscribe to Luminar and use it as a Photoshop plugin. Do you have an example of using it on water in astrophotography? Chris
thanks for watching Chris and I have not used it on water in astro, mostly bc I have very few astro photos - it will be interesting to see how well it picks up water in a photo that's so dark
Can you make a video about what you get when you buy the permanent license of luminar Neo? And how to import Lightroom presets? And how to work with retouch4me at the same time? We just want to leave adobe and make only one pay 😥💸
As always you share the very best tips and time-saving editing, Jim. Thanks for sharing and can't wait for the new version of Luminar.
thanks for watching my friend!

Hmm, be sure to contact their support then, as that is odd for sure.

Hi Jim. You're the Luminar Neo guy. I wonder if you could do a video on printing with Neo. Thanks.
Thanks for the tips and great video! Looking forward to trying this out.
thanks for watching Mike!
Encore de bons conseils,merci Jim.
thank you Jean-Francois!
Excellent demo of the new tool. Question. Do you use a mouse in your workflow or a tablet like a Wacom tablet?
Thank you and no I just use the trackpad on my Mac
Really impressive masking ability. Going to save lots of time.
( I wonder if it would work or be confused by smoke? )
thanks and yes I agree, good stuff and not sure about smoke, I haven't tried that
Great video Jim. Forewarned is forearmed as they say!
ha, true and thanks!

Good video. Do they ever give you a heads up on the iPad version updates ?
thanks and yes I usually get a heads up on new stuff coming, but not always 😀
They don’t call it white water for nothing…..thanks Jim, looking forward to getting my hands on it
thanks Ed and yes good point!

So far the twilight gizmo doesn’t work. It is greyed out and clicking on it nadda.
That's weird as it has worked just fine for me. Maybe email their support team.
Thanks, My mistake. AI Just needs a pic with detectable sky to work on.
@@BeeMichael ah yes it does
I'm looking forward to this new update! I'm already thinking of some older photos I'd like to enhance with the new tools, like this one! :)
yes, Enhance away Theo!
