    So there is no need to wait for the antique wax to dry before applying the varnish ???

    I really like the look of this so I tried doing it, but my transfers either cracked or lifted. any advice on what I might have done wrong?

      You should seal the transfer with a top coat before adding the fineline crackle. It happened to me before too!

      I did seal them, but the transfers still cracked & lifted.

    Can you put the transfers right on top of white ceramic coasters without painting them first?

      I would definitely seal if with a topcoat first at least .if you don’t want to paint it.

      @@rusticriverhome thank you. But would you say painting it gives the transfers a better bond? And do you use acrylic paint or chalk paint?
