Not enough people are talking about omally vs sandhagen
Of course they are. Even omalley has said many times that will be a huge fight sooner than later. Sandhagen just has to wait his turn. Its a shame they gave him umar. Think cory is too seasoned for him at this stage, but it would suck if he loses and has to climb back to title contention.
Because that fight is way of probably not going to happen any time soon
@@jaseallenson316exactly my thoughts. if he didn't get injured in his last fight, which he still won by UD, he would've probably had a title shot right now. despite winning through adversity with that injury, it just didn't look good and felt "unacceptable" by the fans and matchmakers. me personally, i think you have to honor his work still. he put on a masterclass vs chito, who just got obliterated by o'malley. the only thing that saved chito tonight was his tough brick chin.
i would rather see corey vs o'malley next.
sean is trying to make the most money asap and then bounce and dabble in boxing. that's clearly his trajectory, the "conor" route. whether we like it or not, each fighter approaches the fight game differently.

@shanebluebutterfly this was the 4th or 5th best ppv of all time behind mcgregor fights. It was for a reason idiot. Everyone who has followed the story appreciated the rematch. And next is probably Merab or Illia so can't complain.
merab is only person in ufc who defeated 3 former champs back to back before getting title shot so none in ufc deserves championship fight more than merab who has biggest winning streak in bantamweight
Yeah, he is gonna get it. I imagine omalley has some injuries to deal with & they mos def wont rush their golden boy back if its not in best interest, so merab better stay patient. And they 10000% better not let omalley fight topuria next. Im a huge omalley fan, but that might make me stop watching all together. One title defense & move up when there is a more than deserving contender. Colbys ridiculous 3rd title shot, the way they are dogging belal already has me gettn close. The ufc loses more & more integrity w/each event. Its becoming strictly a popularity contest. Its to the point they may as well stop wasting time putting out rankings & sign a bunch of influencers.

Sean had him on the ROPES. Never seen chito retreat like that. Me and my dad thought he was done for a few times.
Sean had him hurt with that shot to the eye. Chito kept covering up against the fence, thought the KO was coming.
Vera fought like an amateur. Counter strikes were there all night. Sean's head was ripe for the taking but Vera shelled up like a pansy and couldn't pull the trigger

@@lithium-qo5wz its way too early to say omalley has great takedown defense. Yan ragdolled him a few times(and he is far from an elite wrestler) & aljo only shot like twice. Stopping 2 takedowns in a fight, but also getting taken down relatively easily several times by yan, certainly doesnt qualify for great takedown defense. Point is, the jury is still definitely out.

Masterclass by Sean. The fact that he is a great and fast striker who is 5'11 at bantam weight is enough!! I really can't imagine anyone putting him away soon, except if someone could back him up and turn it to a dog fight like Chito did a few moments in 5 rounds! it is a shame that Chito didn't kick the gas until the 4th round, this is like his eternal flaw, I don't know when he will learn! hopefully this time. Congratz to Suga Sean even though I am not a fan.

100000000%. Ive been a huge omalley fan from the jump, but if ufc lets him move up after one defense and with a more than deserving contender in merab, im done with ufc. The ridiculous 3rd colby title shot and how they are dogging belal already has me close to tapping. The lack of integrity is becoming beyond ridiculous. Like they should stop wasting time putting out rankings(cuz they only matter when its convienent for the ufcs best interest, mos def not integrity) and sign a bunch of influencers to the roster.
It will not happen. Dana and the UFC know Merab would smash O Malley, but Merab does is sell anything.
If Dana gives the chance to Merab, Ilia vs Sean will never happen, and that is a lot of money lost.

Best performance ever by O'Malley! However, fighting Ilia would be a huge risk when you already have Merab. Ilia has perfect solid boxing to close the distance with combos and punch O'malley's lights out.

In hindsight the first fight was a fluke. Sean’s internet disconnected and Chito got a W by proxy
Yeah, anyone who wasnt a biased hater knew that was the case from the jump. We all tried telling people, omalley was totally controlling the distance and whatnot before the freak injury. And, the cory vs chito fight was a good tell of how this fight would go. Chito is just way to slow for the really good strikers in his weight class, but he does the best with his gifts(endurance, tougness and durability). And the way sean walked out of that ring and various other fights, shows his gift isnt durability. Mos def passed the cardio test, which was dope to see.
This is one of those rare cases where it was in foresight if you have eyes and common sense

Going the distance at that pace for 25 mins is arguably more impressive than getting a quick KO. Highly doubt they'd give him Topuria next when Merab is next in line.
If Vera had just 10-15 seconds after that massive bomb to the solar plexus, it'd have been a different story. Crazy. Amazing fight.
