    1) Go to your GP and get a full blood test. Check specifically for anemia / low iron.
    2) Check for electrolyte imbalances. Sodium potasium, calcium, magnesium.
    3) Indocrine abnormalities. (Thyroid problems or diabetes.)
    4) An infection of some kind.
    5) Too much caffeine.
    6) Side effects of certain medications.
    7) Side effects of additives in processed foods.
    8) Food allergies.
    9) Sleep problems. Sleep apnea, etc
    10) Depression.
    11) Fibromyalgia.
    12) Undiagnosed heart disease. Get an ECG and a chest x-ray.

I'm absolutely convinced that no doctor like Dr. Gupta exists in the US. Medicine is an industry here and it's all about making you a customer, by keeping you coming back. Thus, never a cure for anything, only more tests and pills. Thank you so much Dr. Gupta for all your wonderful info and human empathy. Wish I were in York!

I just have had chronic fatigue for the past several months now. I can barely keep my eyes open. It's not pills,Diabetes, thyrod,or depression. I've had those for years... I'm not sure what it is? It's not food nor food preperation,or anything like that. I'm not sure what it could be? It's not sleep. I sleep very well but feel sluggish when I wake up.And I can'

Do you know why I would have issues while breastfeeding? Heart palpitations, occasionally low blood pressure that makes me dizzy and even sometimes fluid retention in my ankles...not always but sometimes. So, I had these same symptoms with my first son while breastfeeding. When he weaned and during pregnancy (which is why he weaned to begin with), I had none of these symptoms...I barely even had swelling in my 3rd trimeter, despite having gestational diabetes. Within a month of breastfeeding my second son, these symptoms start again. They did a bunch of tests while I was breastfeeding and gad symptoms the first time but nothing ever turned up abnormal. I stay very hydrated normally. Idky this is happening.

i wish more people new how bad caffeine is for their health. but with so much advertising on how it wakes you up makes you feel alert. worse thing created is starbucks, it has all these young people addicted to it. which i find a big problem.

I am getting more Vasovagal events than typical. Could my being tired/ weak feeling from this? Guess I should get blood work done to see if any other things are going on.

You haven't said anything I don't know, but apparently I needed to hear it all again. Cut the caffeine. I've let it creep back up. Find a workout that can accommodate the shoulder injury that's kept me mostly sedentary since New Year's morning. Simple stuff. Thanks for a great video.

    Dr. Gupta
I am one of those people who complains about fatigue and lethargic feelings. I've had blood test and I am not a endemic. I had a stroke in 2018 and when I was in the hospital for my stroke all I did was sleep.
Lately my head has been feeling woosy, and my fingers and arms are numb feeling. I don't know if I am dehydrated or depressed. I have taken paxil for 40mg for over 40 years and now I don't think they are working anymore, can you help me?

A minority of older (over 65) adults have unusually low levels of vitamin B12. Fatigue is a common symptom. Now, only about 6% are actually deficient, but a further 12-14% are borderline. A B12 supplement may help. Remember, though, that more than 80% do NOT have a deficiency or mild deficit, and taking B12 in that case can be dangerous. Over the counter supplements are not entirely without risk, and taking B12 when you don't need it can raise the risk of blood clots, leading to stroke and heart attack.
My wife, who has a history of deep vein thrombosis, was given a large daily dose (1000 IU) of B12 by her doctor "because you're a senior". Of course, it turned out her B12 levels were fine, and the supplements in fact were raising her risk of another life-threatening thrombosis. Some doctors continue to believe that the moment you turn 65 everything changes, and giving out dietary supplements like candy without first running tests is irresponsible.

I wonder what you think of post viral fatigue, such as long covid. I need to try magnesium. Interesting, my electrolytes are good. Everything else has been check my ALP is a bit higher and need to get the iron done again. It appears that my past results show lower iron absorption. I do not know what that means, my doc at the time made me feel like it was not important. However I feel there is something to it. I have done many greens powders, D, C, A, B, E and more. All the supplements are helping but I still get malaise, but it is not as severe as it once was. I am determined to find out what I need with long covid. It has been 2 years. I am better, I can walk now, and drive and work 3 hours a few days a week. I just can't over do things. Very frustrating I do feel there is a vitamin that can help me even better than I am now. I like your channel. Thank you for all the knowledge.
I do believe I have Fibro possibly and going to get that checked. No other doc has stated that but working to see. I prob should get a cardiogram. My EKGs come back good. I do know my nervous system and autonomic system have been affected. I just need a doctor that really understands it. I know I am one of many with long covid.
