I wouldn't discredit the idea of her thinking of four founders because of the four queens and kings of old. But I doubt the personality of each house was directly inspired by each of the Pevensie children. Peter, Edmund, and Lucy are all very brave and kindhearted. (Other than Edmund in Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe, but that was a childish mistake, not a personality trait). For some reason Susan is incredibly vapid and doesn't have much of a personality. So I would say they are all Gryffindor/Hufflepuff hybrids in the books, with Susan being more of a Lavender Brown type.
It makes sense too as Lucy has the healing bottle which is close to Helga Hufflepuffs Cup and Peter has the sword which is the same as Goddrick Gryffindor.
