Emmie, you can not talk too much about your cats, I can watch them endlessly! Since we got our kitten last year, I have been sleeping so much better, despite she wakes me up 2-3 times a night (with her whiskers in my nostril). She is so calming. Cats are blessings. I don't have a cat but I have a dog and she's my pride and joy, honestly. I've seen her grown and change with me over time. I think I influenced her and she influenced me in the most beautiful way. In my darkest times, she was there for me. Sometimes, when I felt like I couldn't get out of bed and felt like the world was collapsing onto me, she would come to my bedroom, give me a good morning kiss and look at me with her beautiful eyes. At those moments, I always thought "living is hard but at least I have a reason to wake up everyday". The time I spend with her is so precious to me. I don't know if I could go through my anxiety attacks without her. So, I understand you, Emma. I think everyone who's a pet owner can relate to what you said. Animals teach us how to love and they show us the purest kind of love.

I think cats are a lot smarter and more attuned to their humans than a lot of people assume. My cat is always very affectionate, but he was especially so when I was very sick for several weeks a few years ago. I totally believe that they can sense that you're going through a hard time and are trying to comfort you.

I am only 30 pages in! 😂 I loved hearing you talk about your cats with so much love and respect. One of my family cats died a couple of weeks ago. He’s been part of the family for more than 16 years. I wasn’t home (currently working abroad) and my mum told me over FaceTime. Still devastated. I am so nervous for when I next go home. I moved out of my mom's house recently and had to leave my cat. He's never been purring and making biscuits too much, he's a reserved little guy, and he's never slept in my bed with me, always preferred my mom. Literally a week before I moved out he suddenly started sleeping with me and making biscuits on my pillow or among my plushies next to me. For a week straight. Then the first night after I moved my sister sent me a video of him going around my bed like he can't quite find his place (he usually lies down cuddled to my side) and hasn't been on my bed since. I cannot put into words how heartbroken I was.
cats are so special ❤ mine is kinda a grumpy guy who isn’t always the biggest fan of cuddles or pets but i’ve noticed when i am really going through a tough time he’ll always be there to sit on my lap and purr

Your biscuits story was actually so relatable. I have 2 sister cats, one will only knead in a total trance on a blanket, the other didn't do it til she was 4 years old. Now she does it once in awhile, always with the force of sharpening her claws - she really puts her back into it lol.
