Yeah, you curl it, but if you do this is like hair curling, if you do it you ll have less lashes. Is not good is more bad.
If you want your curls to last long, just use a blow dry to your eyelash curler and warm it up a bit. Once the curler is warm, curl your lashes like normal.

I run mine under hot water and dry it off on a towel quick right before I use it
I've been using fire. Lighter or candle. Run your curler over the flame a few times. Check to make sure it's not too hot. Curl lashes as you usually would. I have longer, stick straight, Asian lashes and this technique works for me all the time. They even stay curled after mascara. 🤙🏽

I started using this trick after I saw it the first time they used it on you. I had the same problem, lashes dropped really fast after applying mascara. So I figured why not, and it was a game changer for me, never going back lol.
Actually, if you used waterproof mascara your lashes would not dropped... And the another thing is the mascara should not contain water since it is water what makes them drop :)
@@hazankargin9976 Waterproof mascara actually has water in it so that doesn't make sense. My eyelashes drop and I always use waterproof mascara.....
@@amwehr86 Oh.. Alright I understand. However, I said that because when I was using Maybelline Lash Sensational ( the one with the purple-ish and black package) my lashes tended to drop but after that, I switched to the waterproof one ( same package but with the blue print) and now my lashes do not drop all day.
And for another suggestion Loreal Paris mascara ( blue one) also helps me..

HappyHygienist I‘ve used warerproof mascara ever since i started wearing make up. my lashes are extremely straight naturaly and when i use a lash curler and waterproof mascara they stay UP curled.. maybe try using an other mascara :) i‘ve also tried different mascaras and some don‘t work as well as others
Try Mars fabulash it's awesome..I was using lash sensational by Maybelline which was my favourite..but this became my fav ever since my first use
For those who struggle with this, I use one stick of wooden disposable chopsticks. Then take a lighter and heat the chopsticks. The instance you see a part get red and glowing, blow it out. When the smoke stop coming from the chopsticks it's the perfect temperature. And it's not only used by makeup artists. Lots of people do this as a part of their 'mascara routine'

I think the warm stick worked because of the same reason hair straighteners (hair iron) works on hair. The heat broke down some of the hydrogen bonds and keratin chains in your eyelashes to forcibly change it's natural posture. Yet I'm still curious how it lasted for 7 hours..

@@asideofaioli4630 technically-- yes. But only if you use it on a daily basis, or if you abuse your hair by ironing it. Moderate use of ironing may be alright, and if you're treating your hair properly then your hair wouldn't break that easily.

P.S: It hurt enough when I accidentally poke my eyes with mascara, so I think I won't be doing this hack😂

@@celina- the " Mexican spoon" one you don't need to heat up, you grab the spoon and use the curled side of the spoon as a curler.🙂

You could also just use the heat from your blow dryer instead of the lighter 😉
An easier, quicker and similar method to achieve curled lashes that stays is just to heat up your eyelash curler with a hair dryer before using it. Just be careful to not burn your eye haha.
I use this method for years and it keeps my straight Asian eyelashes curled all day :)

I used to use one extra thin layer of mascara first, press my powder sponge on them with no extra power, then curl them , and then go in with another thin coat of mascara . Works a charm and you get thicker lashes. I believe the ash from the stick sets it better , great colour for your mascara . Heating up the layer of mascara maybe melts the mascara and the ash resets it?
I actually bought this electric eyelash curler that uses heat to curl my lashes and it is literally the best thing on the planet for my short, straight lashes. It gives me long results every time I use it and it is amazing.
Marla do you use it before or after you apply mascara?
@@maddowdle you have to use it before because if you put it after mascara, it's going to melt the mascara and because of the wetness, it's not going to curl it correctly. Putting the mascara on after doesn't affect the curling, like it doesn't droop no matter how much you apply

You could also grab your eyelash curler and warm it up with a blow dryer and curl your lashes with it after applying mascara (make sure the mascara isn’t too wet when doing this or else your eyelashes will just stick together)
This works for me (I have straight eyelashes too) 😀
I curl my eyelashes with a curler, use my mascara and let it dry for 2/3 min...then i press my fingers in a C shape on my eyelashes and that will curl them again . It works great and is so easy!

use waterproof mascara and they‘ll stay in place! been doing this since i started wearing make up... just use the right remover.. my lashes are perfectly healthy and long 😊

I always use this trick and to add, if the stick catches on fire(like, if the stick gets burnt like Tina here) your eye will get watery so dont try to warm them for too long

i use my regular eyelash curler heated with a lighter before mascara. After mascara, i heat up an old mascara wand (with the plastic bristles removed) with the lighter to brush the metal through the lashes

I just use a match stick, strike it, wait for it to burn a little then blow it out. Wait for a bit then use it on my lashes, really helped my stubborn lash hairs.
Heat your metal eyelash curler with a hair dryer make sure it’s not super hot! I do this and it makes my lashes stay curled all day!!
Wtf it actually worked. I did it!!!!! I've never had this big of a difference... Whats more amazing is i didn't use an eyelash curler at all, and i don't even need one anymore 😍😍😍😍😍😍 this is my holy grail of lashes
i just use a lip balm on my lashes. I slightly coat my lashes with lip balm and then use a tooth brush to comb through the lashes to fan them out. It works well for me. The lip balm moisturizes the lashes and also makes them look dark and glossy. Also its pretty easy and safe to do.

I suppose it's just the 'hair curler' of the eyes. The eyelashe curler and mascara are the hair rollers and the hot wooden stick is a soft version of a metal hair curler/hair dryer. Nice try Tina! Really helpful to know it works all day! Xoxo

You can also use the top of your eyelash curler instead of the stick. It's kind of a curling iron effect
In LATAM we use the curler lashes and a spoon to hold the curl all day. I been use the same method fire + spoon = beautiful lashes
My Senior year in high school one of my choir friends came in one morning with barely any lashes. She told us she burned them using a hot eyelash curler. She heated it up using a curling iron. To this day I don't heat mine up because I've always been afraid of burning mine.

I actually heat up my curler before using it, think of it as a hair curler, you need it to be hot so your hair can shape in a curl, it’s the same with your lashes! I have pretty long lashes but the weight can weight them down with time but with the heat curler technique it makes them stay up all day and night

I use this hack almost daily! Except I don't always have a wooden stick or toothpick nearby, so I would heat the middle of my qtip. It works just as well, just make sure you don't set the ends on fire!

Wow the results look amazing, but I'm way too scared to have something that's hot enough to curl lashes so close to my eyes! You only have one pair of eyes, treasure them!

I actually put on my mascara and then let it dry for about 5 seconds and then use the end of one of my makeup brushes and I roll the makeup brush handle from the base of my lashes out to the tips in the curve that I want them to be and I do that repeatedly as my mascara is drying..it gives the same effect without heat!!!
I wonder if the carbon from the stick actually being burnt, and it getting stuck in your mascara is actually the trick behind this hack? Kinda like the little fibers in mascara that make your lashes longer, it’s an additive to your mascara.

You don’t need Stick to do. You can easily warm your eyelash curler with fire and use it as hot curler. I’ve been doing that for 10 years and that works fine.

I find that waterproof mascara is the only thing that holds the curl of the lashes. Any washable mascara makes my lashes go down after curling them, but the waterproof ones by Maybelline hold the curl forever

I practiced using this method many times and sometimes I tend to get poked in my eyes by the skewer that already hot and it is so painful that literally I cried. I meant I'm not crying but my eyes tend to get watery by it. So becareful
