Loved this!! I live in Keswick/Borrowdale valley and the shots you took are so much better than most stuff visitors take. Thanks for bringing attention to the area
Even though a ton of stuff you talk about I still don't understand (I have only got into film photography as well as your channel within the last year), I still find it so intriguing to watch you guys work your magic
ugh that lighting at @4:00 i was so excited to see how you captured it. You and your friends are so cute lol the colors of your photos were super interesting.. with the color of the greens and blue.. were those colors all without any post processing?
Aleasha Love It's Provia, a slide film(it's positive not a negative so it can be viewed in colour on the film or using a projector). It has very narrow exposure but has very little grain and amazing colour. It used to be used loads back in the 50's and 60's, even up until the 90's as the standard family film or landscape film. Kodak are bringing back Ektachrome, which the discontinued a few years ago, and could possibly bring back Kodachrome, the film that was the standard to shoot on. It has a glow to it, also it's so crisp it often looks better than the best digital images.
wow, thanks for the reply! That's really interesting, I'm super new to film so it's cool to learn about all the different types. I need to get my hands on some so I can try it out for myself, those photos are too crisp.
You may not have enjoyed it so much George, but I did! (Being more of a landscape person might have something to do with it.) In addition to the great photos, what I thought made this video particularly enjoyable was everyone's comfort in front of the camera. George we've seen since day one, and here he seemed more relaxed than I've noticed before. Your conversations about photography were casual, but also insightful because they were about the subject and equipment in the context of them being used. So often photography videos will talk about a film or a camera in a bedroom or recording studio, and it feels quite divorced from the actual practice of shooting. Here, the complete opposite!
I've lived my entire life in the lakes and never taken a single landscape photo. I always want to get into the towns and cities to photograph the people and buildings. After watching this I might go out my front door and shoot the mountains a bit!
4:07 would have been magical w/o the tree intruding. The not totally accurate lines in the 7's viewfinder can be a pain that way, though maybe it was just a rushed shot to get the light while it was there.
Should have given me a shout guys. I'm 20 minutes away and could have taken you to see all the hidden gems. I recognised just about every path you took :-)
I am switching back to film after 4 years, just bough a nikon fm and olympus xa and sold my dslr shooter. I was inspired by you but lests see how this works out.
Please please do a collaboration with Thomas Heaton, he's an amazing landscape photographer from the uk who once in a while pulls out a hasselblad xpan
I'm really liking this video as I have the many videos before. The only complaint I'd have is that you're using the same music in nearly every single one of your videos so it's getting a bit annoying to be honest. Some music variation would be greatly appreciated :D
NEGATIVE FEEDBACK: I've been following you for a number of months now and have enjoyed just about all of your videos however, I have to say your channel has been increasingly sailing away with info for the average film photographer. Even with the smallest rebound that film Photography industry has gained in the last few years it is still a real struggle. Most film photographers shoot 35mm with cheap cams, lenses and stock and i can't remember the last time you made a video shooting 35mm shooting in locations that don't look like paintings. Medium format is popular but large format is pretty much a novalty in reality. Watching you shoot large format in obscure locations constantly is becoming non realistic and I would compare it to watching segments of celebrity homes, yes its eye candy but not practical. One thing I do like is your interviews photographers and asking them about the first years shooting, now that is helpful and important. It seems you are very well known inside the active film community where you live but really guy? how many average people do you think there are watching your videos with 2 to 5 thousand dollar cameras compared to folks who own a Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Minolta with the price range of 100 dollars to 300? Believe me I realize this is what you like, this is your channel, and obviously this has been working for you and you even have sponsorship(which is fantastic). This is just the view and advise from an average film photographer viewer and fan ;)
Danielsan this is lime going into someones house and telling them how their decoration has to b and how they need to run it lol! If george and co are gonna make a channel its gonna be about the stuff he likes and the people who like the same thing will watch. Thats how youtube works! There are plenty channels that shoot 35mm with canons. That are veeery informative and do shooting vlogs as well. Ive been following them since their first video and actually enjoy this content more, cuz its different and it gives a good look into the other things that you can do with film! (Not the trendy 35mm vintage look photos) this is just how he evolved as a photographer, which i think is quite amazing tbh! And again its beautiful content to watch!
PS. I just got a Fuji GW690ii for about 350$ and its known to be a good affordable alternative to the Mamiya7 (you dont need an expensive camera to take good pictures and enjoy the process) If you do your research you can find good alternatives! :)
I often watch your videos and love the videos and don't like the simplistic images (cars, people etc). This time i thought the images were very good but the video was bloody terrible lol
This one day of shooting had so many truly stunning frames. I'm in awe.
Beautiful photos and environment.
"Sometimes your eyes are the best camera" 😊
Really nice photos. That fujifilm really brings out the green in the grassy hills. I'll have to check it out sometime!
George you should do more portraits.. would love to see that!
I rather enjoy your casual landscapes
Love these chill videos. Hope you guys had fun. Thanks for sharing 😊

I always find myself coming back to this video
Even though a ton of stuff you talk about I still don't understand (I have only got into film photography as well as your channel within the last year), I still find it so intriguing to watch you guys work your magic
Stunning images.
Really enjoyed this!! Some great photos!!

aslan addressing that the hanger can kick in pretty quick was heavenly music to my ears. what truth!!
So Awesome! You guys are the best!
YES! I'm always ready for new videos!!!!
That’s awesome, I’m going to the Lake District in two weeks. Hopefully taking some nice shots too.

"This time it actually was an S-curve"- George 2K17
Awesome as always.
I liked the look of those cameras you were using.
Enjoyable, some lovely shots, and as someone who's into elite athletic performance that jump over the gate looked pretty impressive :)
I've lived my entire life in the lakes and never taken a single landscape photo. I always want to get into the towns and cities to photograph the people and buildings. After watching this I might go out my front door and shoot the mountains a bit!
you take beautiful pictures. i love them
Thanks, I'll be checking out your other videos too! 🌹 😊
More like LADScape photography amirite?!
Beautiful images!
BEAUTIFUL
Always love your travel vids. Wish I had friends to do this with 😢
Going to have to try Fuji 400H in 120. Nice!
Nice video fellas. I liked the s curve photo.
It's virtually impossible to take a boring picture in the lake districts, however you've definitely proven that it can be done - well done!
4:07 would have been magical w/o the tree intruding. The not totally accurate lines in the 7's viewfinder can be a pain that way, though maybe it was just a rushed shot to get the light while it was there.
Really like how this video is graded. Much lighter and more saturated than your normal videos
Oh my goodness my friend, Thank you for all that you do. Are your photos online anywhere?
YO nice 66°Norður beanie, super Icelandic vibes♥️
You killed these photos George!
Should have given me a shout guys. I'm 20 minutes away and could have taken you to see all the hidden gems. I recognised just about every path you took :-)
I agree, shooting on 800asa film with the mighty Pentax 6x7 is a wise decision!
that crazy jump in the end :o
Where exactly are these places you visited in the Lake District? Beautiful photos and amazing video as always!
Sher Jan nearly all around Keswick, mainly Borrowdale Valley (I live in Keswick so I can name places from time stamps if you need any)
It took me the whole duration of this video to eat a latge pizza to myself. Thank you
Could you give a list of the places you visited in the Lakes?
beautiful
I am switching back to film after 4 years, just bough a nikon fm and olympus xa and sold my dslr shooter. I was inspired by you but lests see how this works out.
You should hit up Thomas Heaton. He shoots around the Lake District a lot and is just getting into film photography.
Interesting choice of film for your day.
Can you talk about the Reflex camera on kickstarter?
Switching away from slide film was a good idea!
lovely
man i just wanna say i fuckin love your videos
A long way to go for a few snaps but I am glad you enjoyed the trip, the photography was incidental.
has anyone found the names of the music he's using? havent found it on that soundcloud profile...
Love seeing you enjoying your life!!
i love this video so much! i really want to be a professional photographer when im older but all the camera parts sound really confusing:(
Everyone starts somewhere, get a camera, do some research and you're done.
11:24 George with the hops
Now studying photography at college I have been given the task to shoot film. Where do I go for Inspiration, look no further.

What camera do you use to film?
A Mccarthy a6500
I finished watching the video instead finishing my paper on time.
I want a medium format camera, but I’m repressing the urge to impulsively buy one off eBay.
Lucky !!!
