WE HAVE HAD a lot of these birds this year. They love the Juniper trees with the blue berries and then they fly up to the dead tree and sit there on and off all day. So wonderful to see them maybe twenty-five to 80 sometimes more at a time
Nice. I thought I had some nice footage of them singing... but their call is so quiet, the sounds of the other birds is drowning it out! I may still try to make a video of it : )
Yes that is true; their call is a high-pitched sound. This specific bird does not vocalize all the time in the video but for some occasions. The Waxwing calls hearable throughout comes from other waxwings not visible in the video. Other species can be heard also.
I was thrilled to see waxwings for the first time a few years ago. There were around eight of them, and they were feeding off the rowan tree. They stripped it bare quite fast, then were gone. They are migratory birds here where I live, in England, I believe they migrate to Northern Europe for winter. Beautiful birds, and sadly haven't seen any since.
Cedar waxwings: beautiful, majestic birds
Also cedar waxwings: eeeeeeeeee
Such a beautiful bird can't believe they're real

They actually tend to live in nomadic flocks and have a strong preference for berries so it makes sense that you see them there!
Ugh... just absolutely gorgeous and stunning bird.
There's also a willow-flycatcher vocalizing in the background rather loudly ("Fitz-bew")

I have a nest in a tree in my yard. They are such a beautiful bird. Excited to see the babies.
have them to, they picked the talest tree.

It's literally waxwings in the cedar!😄
so this is the bird those poets adore
I've planted several trees and bushes in hopes of bringing these birds to my yard. They are beautiful.
Beautiful birds! Seen them here one time in Live Oak Florida! Wish they'd come back 🕊️
Grow native plants like red cedar (Juniperus virginiana) or sugar hackberry (Celtis laevigata)
Grow native plants and provide habitat to see more native birds.
I can’t wait to see one in real life

It appears one cat didn't like this video. Missed supper? I love it though
