Barred rocks and Rhode Island reds seem to lay the best to me … I have sum barred rock roosters if you need a couple

I wanted to get that type. I swear by the black australorpe chicken, white deleware, asa brown
Black Australorps are probably the best laying chicken there is. In fact, I think they hold the world record.
Looked at whole chicken at the market, they wanted 20 bucks for it. omg no way
Wow. That’s a lot of money for a bird.
I lost chicks this time and all I can figure out that I did different , I got small wood chips
I’ve heard if they’re really dusty the chicks can breathe in the dust and it’s bad for their lungs. So maybe larger chips are better.
